"The men the American people admire most extravagantly are the most daring liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth."

My opinion about blogs is that basically they are ego dumps with very little real substance, and amount to little more than people blathering on about what occurs in the private corners and recesses of their own quiet desparation.
But once in awhile, in the vast reaches of the blogisphere, one comes across TRUTH. Truth is truth if it is a correct assessment of REALITY.
There is a reason corrupt governments and dictators seek out and destroy the intellectuals of the land, when establishing their dictatorial rule by force. It's because it is usually the intellectuals who have an accurate perception of what's really going on behind the scenes, as opposed to those who merely believe what they're told.
This blogster is one of those prophetic individuals who looked back at history, and compared it with the present, and came to the conclusion that indeed, history does and is repeating itself. Man being what he is in the raw, will always revert to type, in one way or another.
It's now 2009, almost 2010. This article was written in 2004. Amazing, that the description he gives of the unfolding events in America in 2004, have now come to pass, and are coming to pass, and are becoming etched in granite destined to become history, just as those that occurred in WW2, and so on down through the ages, as men repeated the same old mistakes over and over, with the intention that they could rule the world.
As it's profoundly said, "It's dangerous to believe your own shit".
