They beat the c_r_a_p out of those guys. No wonder cops fight any proposal to ban high speed chases. Too much fun for them.
they didn't beat the C_R_A_P out of them. instead of judging the troopers, try riding along on a Friday night, when all the drunks are out there. Or going along when they serve a high-risk warrant. Trained or not, you'd have a different view after a night or two.

OK, either way they probably beat the cr4p out of them :)

Why not radio ahead, set up road blocks east and west in case the maniac driver decided to cross over the median. Team work from both directions could have made it safer for all the westbound motorist. Use the Amber Alert signs to let innocent motorist know that a high-speed chase is underway. For instance: HIGH SPEED CHASE, FLEE TO SHOULDER OF THE ROAD! Maybe we can install a sound system similar to tornado alerts to warn motorist of impending danger ahead or from behind. Prosecute this driver; he needs to be confined in jail.

<quoted text>Reckless???....You'd be talkin different if one of your loved ones were in one of those cars that fool almost sideswiped. Guess you probably had your own run-in with the boys in blue once or twice. If they failed to stop him, you'd be complainin about that, as well.
Yeah, right. Everyone that questions police tactics is a felon. How child-like.

If my loved ones were in the parking lot that the cops were plowing through I would be a little concerned, too.

And deprive hillbilly cops of their fun?
Dont you think they got a rush out of that, and the beating was the icing on the cake!

Another successful bust for marijuana possession.
How many people could they have killed?

I wish Tulsa had a decent helicopter that could cover the almost daily police chases live.
It would do people a lot of good to see how cops really behave once they get their hands on the suspects.

I remember the KOTV story about the wedding photographer that was roughed up after he unwittingly got pictures of OHP and OKC police brutalizing car chase suspects a few months ago. Lets see OHP try to erase these pictures.

All that blood on the ground was what?
And the belly-chump punching the guy face down on the ground was just playtime? I can judge them just fine when I watch video of their brutal tactics.

It's funny how they wont let you carry a camera or cellphone on a ride-along.
It's easier to deny something when there arent pictures.

That would be cool. Live police chaises every day.
KOTV could run advertising at the bottom to pay for the jet fuel and they would have tons of viewers, maybe on one of their digital channels like 6.1

What kind of car was it? Onstar can now stop cars on high speed chases if the cops ask for it.
TPD still chases (and wrecks) On-Star equipped vehicles. kotv had a story about one a few months ago. They could have tracked it but instead they decided to escalate it into a big injury accident where innocent bystanders were nearly killed.
Police chases are out of control.

They were already monitoring the car by helicopter. There was no way these idiots were going to escape. If they hadn't been chased at high speed, they wouldn't have driven at high speed. All the police had to do is nab them when they either stopped somewhere or ran out of gas.
I guess they haven't figured out we are living in a different era now.
