Apartment Fire in Strongsville

Fire crews are on the scene of a fire at the Chestnut Lake Apartments at 17785 Whitney Rd.

I live at Chestnut Apartments, and I was told by a police officer that the fire was started from children playing with matches. This of course is hearsay for the moment, but that's all I know.

I live in the building next to the one caught on fire and it's not a pretty sight. Three apts. appear to have caught fire and the are several fire trucks and ems here looks like they are about to leave now

i work with two people, That live in the building this is horrible. the gentlmen has a newborn baby.

As bad as this seems right now. It was an accident. We have to remember to have compassion. Help where we can and let God do the rest!

Another substandard and unsafe building to live in. Why aren't there any fire walls and sprinkler sytems there?

It's hard to say why the teen would use a lighter for a flashlight to clean under his room.

im sorry but what kid uses a lighter to look under his bed. and what parent lets their kid have a lighter at 14! if the kid isn't being brought on charges why aren't the parents for neglect and the damages they caused the other families and the owners.

I belive the management should update these buildings. And spend some money to bring them up to code ! It could of been worst !
