One more reason for why people should be allowed to carry their guns. This is a problem that the Armed Citizen can handle.

I was woken up this morning, about 6am to the howling and laughing of a group of coyotes down the street from me near a horse farm on the eastside of Rt.83 in N. Ridgeville, Oh. My windows were shut and their yappin and howling woke me up! My neighbor across the street claims to of heard them the night before. What struck me was how my projection these howls had. Very powerful howls. I read of a theory about eastern coyotes and why they are becoming so bold and bigger and running in packs like wolves. Its believed that as coyotes started moving into the eastern states, they out-crossed with remnant wolves still left in the East as they were getting exterminated from the East. This , it is theorized now, and is also supported through DNA and RNA evidence, that wolves mixed with coyotes headed eastward. Hence our Eastern coyotes larger size and bolder temperment and packing behavior. A young woman was attacked and killed by a "pack" of these hybrid coyotes in , I think Nova Scotia. Normal coyotes do not run in packs nor do they normally attack people in packs. Eastern coyotes hunt deer in packs. Western coyotes, at best, scavange off deer carcasses killed by man or other preditors but don't hunt deer in packs. Scientist have given these new hybrid coyote X wolf hybrids the name of "Tweed" or "Brush wolf" because they not only recognize it as an emerging specie, but that it is here to stay!

There is more than one reason why someone could receive 'shots' after an animal bite. Rabies, obviously but also including pain medication and antibiotics. She could even have been given SQ lidocaine for wound stitching, or if the area was large and they weren't going to put her under, a nerve block. Lots of possible reasons why she could describe it this way.

And as patients are notoriously 'poor historians' on average when it comes to understanding treatments, I don't put a lot of stock in their descriptions and certainly wouldn't use them to ascertain credibility.

That being said, a coyote OR a large dog attacking someone who is wheelchair bound on her deck, is nothing to sneeze at. The animal control guy sounds like he's literally given up on the area under his command, and that alone is something to be looked into.

And if you're living in a neighborhood where you can hear animals screaming as they're dying and it's happening on a regular basis, law enforcement needs to get out there and find out what is really what.

There are many questions with regards to this story, and they should be investigated. I don't automatically kneejerk support when I don't have all the facts, but there are enough questions being generated by this that authorities need to not ignore this.

Put out a bounty and let some local hunters rid the community of the problem.

That was Willy from the cartoon show with Road Runner... he heard her loud TV playing and her dog barked which is like cursing so it made him mad, the woman was unfriendly and was trying to strike Willy when he defended himself and took a nip at her.
So now we have the facts and everyone can rest assured it's all over, remember turn down the TV and toss out your scrapes for our friends in the woods as they are gods creatures too!
