Beware of this bank

Ha! Now to really make you wonder - Got a payoff amount this morning then called again to double check amount. This afternoon's amount was $135 less than this mornings?? and the payoff is $5000 more than principal balance??? Huh? Now I have to request an activity stmt to see where payments have been applied before I can even get a payoff amount. Not a good bank at all!!

Back in july Citezens crap financing took out double on my payment which made my actual bank account overdraft about $400. They paid a small portion of it back a month later but did nothing about the overdraft fees. Now they are stating that they gave me the entire payment back and that my next payment did not satisfy that month and that i am behind almost 60 days on my payments. I have faxed over my bank statement about 6 times proving that i have not been delinquent and they cant seem to understand. Now my car is up for review for reposession unless i make a payment that i have already made. LAWYER TIME. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

i got the run around on my rv loan and the interest and principal numbers don't add up.trying to sell and they have given me a payoff 14k higher than it should be.72 payments, never late.i stopped paying and they repoed it fast.i have lost 110k on them and they black mark my great credit.class action i would pay thousands in lawyer fees to expose these crooks.if you have a loan with them, watch out cause your payoff will not be right.also watch sending them any extra cause it will not go to principal.they charged me 19.22 interest for each day after the first day of my grace period thats why your statements sent so late.

My daughter's car loan ended up at Citizens Bank/Citizens Automotive Financing and I co-signed for the loan.(Stupid, Stupid, Stupid!)

We began to get phone calls telling us that they hadn't received the monthly payment even though her bank assured us that the payments were being made.

Citizens Bank then let us know that the loan was in default because of non-payment for three months. Still my daughter's bank said that Citizens Bank was receiving the funds. Just to be sure, the last payment was send via mail in a money order.

While we are working with both banks to figure out what is going on, they repossessed the car.

Just in case it really was my daughter's bank that was causing the problem, we arranged to have $1500 sent from my bank via a bank to bank expedited payment. When my bank verified that the payment had been made, I waited until the next day to call Citizens Bank. They claim that they did not receive it and did not receive the money order payment either. We verified the bank to bank payment information to make sure there were no mistakes. I then sent another bank to bank expedited payment for the additional missing payment.

Somehow I knew exactly what Citizens Bank was going to say when I called today to get a status report. Of course, they claim that they haven't received any payments.

Meanwhile, the credit ratings for both my daughter and myself are being destroyed.

Also, the towing and storage charges for my daughter's car continues to multiply. We even found out that the towing company has freighted the car to Idaho so it can be sold at an auction when the waiting time is up in a few weeks.(I'm guessing that Citizens Bank has a monetary "relationship" with this towing company.) If we ever get Citizens Bank to admit that they received payments, getting the car back from the towing company will cost another thousand or so.

Now Citizens Bank wants me to send them the money via Western Union. Ya, like making all the payments a third time is going to work.

At this point we don't even know how to proceed. We can certainly gather evidence from our banks for a lawsuit but you won't get Citizens Bank to ever admit any wrongdoing. Still, a lawsuit seems the only option we have left.

So the question I have is -- Is Citizens Bank incompetent or are they thieves?

I'm voting for the later.

I re-financed my car with another lender after seeing all of the negative reviews for Citizens. Citizens charged me $25 for a faxed payoff. Then, they faxed the wrong title to my bank, so I had to call them back to get my car's title sent. My bank sent Citizens the payoff on 8/3/11, but Citizens is saying they don't have it yet (8/12/11). Now it appears that I owe both banks for one vehicle. This was a terrible mistake to finance my car with them, especially when I don't know them. I would never recommend them to anyone. The crazy thing is, I have excellent credit, so I don't appreciate my car dealer placing my loan with Citizens.

For over a year now i cant get them to send me back a statement for what i have paid each month.
I am nver late and i have to send my checks without a statement and like i said never get a return recpt or staement. I am worried they will say i owe more at the end which at this point was to be next year some time for a pay off and i ddont even know anymore. I am angry and so frustrated with this place. I have called and all they say is just keep sending them. How can they get away with this? I agree they are the stupidist place i have ever seen. I want answers and an updated statement......who do i talk to other then these morons to get it?

We have had the same problem with Citizen's. The principal applied each month to our balance goes up and down. When we asked for an explanation, the rep stated that it varied based on the number of days in the month. We have never experienced a worse banking experience and are currently trying to refinance our RV. Stay away from these folks!

I have dealt with Citizens for the past 3 yrs. Checks are always returned. I have to make my payments over the phone, for which they charge almost $20 processing fee every time. They don't have a way to pay it online either. If you figure out this fee, that is $240 extra per year I am paying. For every 1000 car loans that is and extra $240,000 per year they are getting. You know that have to have more than that! I am getting so sick and tired of this car loan from them. To think that a leading Ford dealership in my area brung this company to me to take a loan out with.

Well looks like we all have something to say about citizens! They told me I was not able to get an extention on my loan because it was not current, yet telling other people they cannot get an extention until they are 30 days late? What are we supposed to do?
