A 65-year-old Maine woman was jailed for allegedly assaulting a state trooper with a stun gun during an investigation into whether she was hoarding animals at her house.

I believe the article is incorrect as to why the trooper was at the home. From what other articles said he was there to arrest her on other charges. She had been to court in 2004 for animal abuse and had never gone for her mental evaluation or paid her fines. She has been in every federal court trying to overrule this case. She had just been turned down by an Arizona court according to an article online. She also has recently filed again in the Mass federal Court. She is in serious need of mental help. It's to bad they threw her in jail instead of the mental hospital. She writes articles that appear to imply she is stable and well educated. Truth is she has never held a decent job because of her problems. The court did her a great disservice the first time by not placing her in a mental hospital. In the first animal seizure she had a goose or duck thats feed had frozen and fallen off and the stumps were infected. The pictures in her court file showed dead animals in the yard frozen. While at first glance the article seems funny it could have turned into something really bad if the officer had over reacted.
