He's a strange dude, that Michael Jackson. I don't understand the TV people going on and on about how great he was. Wasn't he pretty much of a freak? Child molester?

Although his life was at times controversial, there is no denying his talent as an entertainer. His music was a gift to the world in addition to the more than 300 million dollars he generously gave to various charities. We are all flawed and he was no exception. I am not excusing or condoning any crime he may or may not have committed . Just remember his attributes, good and bad were all born out of childhood that few of us could bear.

I understand you're not condoning any crime he committed and I accept that he was a big time entertainer but, molesting a child trumps any good the man ever did. Lots of us had troubled childhoods.

I have to agree the guy was a hell of an entertainer, but he brought a lot of this on himself by building that Neverland Ranch and bringing in young boys to sleep in his bed at night. Even some of the jurors that voted not guilty at his trial are now saying they screwed up. How many of these child stars eventually get screwed up like a soup sandwich? Only one I can think of who kept it together and has matured with grace has been Brooke Shields.

It is widely known that some -not all of these parents used their children as bait in a scheme to get money. Any individual in Mr. Jackson's employ who looked the other way and did nothing while these children were allowed to sleep unsupervised with an adult male non family member is guilty as well.

Good point about the parents of these kids Jackson abused. Can you imagine using your own kids to get a court settlement from some guy? I knew a nasty old gal in Galveston who offered me her 14 yr old daughter for 200 bucks! I went to the Texas Child Protective Services people and turned her in. Cost me a roast beef dinner every now and then, but well worth it. Her daughter is now in prison. So, I understand how a lot of these screwed up people get that way. My own mother was a shady character. Used to have to sit outside while my "Uncle Freddie" and mom took a nap.

I think he was a very talented man and his fans will miss him. But I also think we will see new music coming out by him for a few years. No telling how many songs are locked up in his vault that have never been released. Looking forward to watching his music the next year.

This is what is wrong with america, we celebrate and place on pedestals people like MJ. Talented entertainer yes, but yet still a sicko and not worth all the hoopla the media is doing. We kill millions of unborn babies everyday, and one child molesting singer dies and the world is at a stand still....they should have put him under the jail for the kids he has messed up. I pray for his children.

What about the resolution that the black congressional members tried to pass? Some congress woman from Texas? Wanted members to state how great this "entertainer" was.
