no more ktve christmas tree??

WHAT IS UP WITH THE TREE NOT BEING PUT UP THIS YEAR???? THEY SAID THE PLACE SOLD AND THE NEW OWNERS ARE NOT GOING TO DO IT,I HAVE BEEN GOING UP UNDER THAT TREE FOR OVER 40 YEARS NOW. I HAVE CARRIED MY KID AND NOW MY GRANDSON.THIS REALLY REALLY SUCKS,COME ON EL DORADO(MURPHY OIL,EL DORADO CHAMBER OR ???)HELP!!!!

i'm with you, thats a family tradition!! my kids who are now grown, and grandchild, love that tree, as did i when i was a kid, come on el dorado some things don't need to change!! WE WANT OUR TREE!!!!

Screw tha tree, half the lights are always out and last time I went under it I stopped to look up as always for years and some cop came flying up demanding to see my license.

i've been going under that tress all my life, and i have NEVER had a cop come up behind me!!! and i wouldn't care if they did, that shows me they're out doing something!!!

so are the decorations all around the square, the murphy bldg. the viadoc, up an down n.w. ave. doesnt mean they're not beautiful, somethings need to be left alone!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS

The downtown water tower is being painted - its going to advertise GOELDORADO.COM .

we need to start a petition on getting our tree put up..i loved that tree...no cops ever stopped me either...have taken kids and grandkids under it..everytime we go to town....stop by the tree mama...it will be sad not to see it..

I was shocked, to say the least, when I learned that the KTVE Christmas Tree wasn't lighting up this year. I cannot believe El Doardo Arkansas is becoming what it is. Why do you always have to change the good things about the town but no one ever seems to want to change the bad things? That tree had been there all of my life. It is just a shame. The town is going down the drain.
