I just received a right turn on red ticket for not stopping long enough supposedly in Rolling Meadows. Such a scam! I stopped long enough to see no one was coming and then turned right. There was no traffic. 35 years of driving and NEVER a ticket or any kind of traffic violation and then this ridiculous money making scam operation sends me a ticket! This is NOT about safety and is very much about making money for the city of Rolling Meadows! These should be ruled unconstitutional and REMOVED!

I was given a citation in Hanover Park the light had just turned green and I went and just before the intersect not even seconds someone used a clicker and changed the light. When I viewed the video online I saw where the guy next to me went in and backed up. Since I didn't hear any siren it's hard to prove a clicker so it's my word only what proof could I have? To appeal if you miss it's another $100. then late fees accumulate per day. I will take country roads I will not pay toll after this until I recoup my loss this is highway robbery in disguise. This is so wrong when I win the lotto I may start taking the Eisenhower going out from Hanover Park again-maybe.

Yeah "it was all about safety." BULLSH-T!
Oh wait, I guess that's why the cameras are set up all over Chicago.... If Mayor Daley and the County Board truly gave a damn about safety, Chicago would have installed green Left-turn arrows on most of its major intersections decades ago! When you let a machine act as a policeman, and the private company running the electric policeman is too damn cheap and lazy to actually review each and every ticket generated, as it is legally SUPPOSED TO!, something is SERIOUSLY wrong -- and those tickets generated should be thrown out!
And worse, what good is a traffic camera to "improve safety" when the road signage for those cameras are essentially invisible and/or so cryptic or located so close to a crossing as to be considered intentionally designed to confuse motorists?
"Dr. Strangelove:'Of course, the whole point of a Doomsday Machine is lost, if you keep it a secret! Why didn't you tell the world, Eh?
"Ambassador de Sadesky:'It was to be announced at the Party Congress on Monday. As you know, the Premier loves surprises.'
