Keyport to seek money for $120,000-plus skate park

Full story: Asbury Park Press

They will build it; but it's money, not people, that needs to come. Residents' six-year dream of building a municipal children's skating park is still alive, but its price tag has climbed considerably since 2003.

This is a waste of money that our town does not have. While a skate part would be nice for the kids, why dont we try to be fiscally responsible for the tax payers for a change.

I have no problem with building the area if it doesn't cost us money from more important sources. If they build a skate park and then layoff police officers I'll be one chasing them around with a stick.

I know where we can get a bunch of day laborers to help construct the park! Outside the Matawan 7-11!

why would you listen to that they cant even spell. you seem like the person that would yell at me if i were skating down the side walk minding my own buisness. then again why use a side walk when u can just go to the skate park.... that we need.

Skatepark...talk about the pot calling the kettle black!! I count 3 spelling errors (never mind the atrocious grammar)in your response. Did you crack your skull skating? You seem barely literate. Perhaps a little less time zipping about town on your rollerblades or whatever it is you youths these days are up to, and a bit more time hitting the books and maybe someone will take you seriously. For now, I have to give you a big "thumbs down".
