I hope that he doesn't get the max term on an accidental incident. there are always two people in an argument and there should NEVER be a reason to put hands on one another. I know the guy and he was just your average "have a good time guy", and it is unfortunate that she died but at the same time I feel that he shouldn't be severely punished for an argument gone wrong. two people is what it takes to make an argument.

So here is something to think about. What if it was your loved one that lost their life to an "accidental blow", would you feel differently then? Would you still feel that he would not deserve severe punishment? You are right in that there should never be a reason to put hands on one another. Does that justify him giving her a blow to the head that was so strong it killed her in an instant? Are you aware that he hit her more than once, and that he left her there for a full ten minutes before calling for help? His weight gets put into play because he was much bigger and stronger than Cindy ever thought about being. Had you ever met her? She was a very small woman. He had no right whatsoever to do what he did.
Cindy was the smartest person I knew. She had her master's degree and had a passion for biology. She worked her ass off to get that degree, only to have a senseless act throw it away.He took her away from four children that will never see their mother again. Not only that, but he left two very heartbroken parents, and two sisters (including myself) that will always know so much that one of us is missing. Eric also got physical with my nephew during a fight. Were you aware of that? I know you weren't, as no one outside the family was. I'm done now. Just be aware of the full story before you judge. Although there were many atricles about this tragedy, many things were left out. |
