They are claiming assets of only 1.8 million on their tax exempt forms. That includes buildings, equipment and receipts. If the co-op were included that number should be much higher.

I heard it is closer to 1.5 million the non-profit makes. I wonder how much Kelly's , smokers choice, The canal side, etc make yearly in little falls. Every business in Little Falls pays taxes, rent, and payroll taxes. The Y pays no rent for the CO-op, no taxes, and still say they struggle to get by. Who is managing the money? Maybe , and I say maybe there is some mismanagement of Y assetts. I see why Tony was so desperate to shut it down and mislead the city.

Yes. We got duped. If the MAYOR had said all of this FIRST, he could have sold the idea to the Counsel, as well as the community, and avoided all this hate and discontent. Way to go Bob... Get some communication skills. Or, give Joy the keys and go home. So where did the money go? Maybe the Courts SHOULD take a look.

Definitely something fishy going on down at the YMCA's cooperative. The coop generates over $1,000,000 in revenue per year yet the YMCA only claimed $307,975 in revenue for 2011 on their IRS form 990? Childcare, Education & Youth - Headstart and Universal Pre-K Headstart revenue $25,639 Group health, wellness for youth, families & seniors revenue $189,972 Community housing & services, emergency and supportive housing and food pantry revenue $92,364. Where's the revenue for the coop YMCA, did ya kinda forget to put that on the tax form??

Now that the people turned out for the Y, what happens next? Will they maintain the same solidarity when Peters and his attax assessor come after them as individuals, as they surely will now?

No they were not.Only the ones that were mislead because of the YMCA's (national) reputation. If this was played out in full there would be a different outome for sure.I see all this info coming out now ad wonder why it was not presented at a forum or informative session. And the city leaders either did not discuss this or were afraid to offend someone. Now they will continue to receive services at the cities expense because of the way you (we want a new regime)people shoved this whole thing down everyones throat.I must admit you did a great job of convincing local and county gov.

Well, if we are indeed a democracy, then it is OUR government. Its nmot a matter of convincing some structure outside of us. The government is, or at least should be, us. My take is that the last thing most people in Little Falls want is another "new regime." What they seem to want is open, representative government by the people, not a regime. For once in Little Falls, it actually was us, and the old guard is crying like a weedle babby.

Actually, the Mayor has not signed off yet, it is not to late for voices to be heard. I would encourage everyone to call the Mayor and tell him what you think of the tactics of the Y.... You are right, the last thing we want is a "New Regime". We don't need special quarums created at MSF meetings deciding city business, we don't need black mailing council members, or YMCA Board members writing city resolutions, and no we don't even want the vote swapping to fulfill some personal vendetta. Yet, this is what we have with Mark, and Jeff, it is time for them to go before the city ends up with more lawsuits. However, it is the dyfunctionality of the current administration and its continuing and repeated refusal to listen to citizens and the repeated lawbreaking of the current administration that has forced this crisis. I look forward to an Open government where the concerns and interests of all citizens can be debated openly, and whereby the government of these citizens operates in accordance with both the will of citizens and the law itself.

When one of the churches operates a grocery store I will certainly look into it...now back to the matter at hand. I will investigate why the Y has failed to report the revenue from the cooperative on the form 990.
