Miron headstone court case continued

Richard Miron, Stratford's Democratic registrar of voters, was granted a continuance this morning in his larceny case in which he is accused failing to deliver the headstone for the grave of a Bridgeport police ...

I can't wait to hear the excuse on why he collected all that money from everyone and didn't deliver one headstone. Hopefully this guy gets some jail time. I am sure he will figure out how to collect a check on tax payer dollars while he sits in jail however.

What a shocker!!! Richard Miron wasn't present in court today. That goes along with the dozens of unanswered phone calls all of the scammed victims made to him.
He must be working very hard today to make restitution to all of us.
I can only hope justice will prevail.

Its a sad case, but now he and his son will call in favors on the state level to help keep him out of jail.

Thats what happens folks when your in somekind of political office for 25 plus years, and your kid is a mayor.

I have not received the headstone that was paid for in full over 9 months ago or reimbursement for the cashed check.

Some justice. To be a good pick pocket, you’ve got to look like a regular Joe. Don’t dress up in fancy colors or jewelry. That’s where the Gypsies have it wrong. Pair of slacks, t-shirt, hat – that’s all you need. And it helps to have tiny hands, too.

I often wonder why things happen in the first place. Then I thought back on my own life. I’ve practiced a lot of religions over the years and of all of them, my favorite is still the Fraternal Order of Eternal Christmas. It was a fairly small group that I helped put together in ’83 just outside of Lincoln, Nebraska. The basic tenet was that, for us, Christmas was every single day. We’d wake up every morning and open presents, then we’d all sit around and have a delicious group lunch. At night, we’d have Christmas Eve dinner with goose and stuffing and then we’d go to bed, waiting for the whole thing to happen all over again. I came up with this groovy creation story about Santa being a real man that arose from an elven tribe living among the polar ice caps. People really seemed to dig it. We got about thirty or forty followers before we got shut down by the State of Nebraska. Apparently, people were doing a lot of stealing to keep the religion going financially. Maybe this is why Miron took the money.
