GRDA Announces Rate Increase To Begin In 2010

The Grand River Dam Authority announced both bad and good news Wednesday. The utility says it plans to roll out an 11.95 percent base rate increase on January 1, 2010, but remains optimistic the increase can also be rolled back in the future.

Note that the state lawmakers nor the cooperation committee does not have to approve this rate increase.
There is no oversight for the GRDA.

Are you referring to their luxury office above Hooters where they wine and dine the politicians so they can get their own perks??? Do they have a helicopter landing pad on top of this building to land one of their expensive helicopters so their CEO (corrupt, er, I mean chief executive officer) can fly over there from visiting his buddies on Grand Lake up near his own office in Vinita???

We thought it was just about overspending on water labs and the purchase of a new power plant near OKC.
