How do you know it the armed intruder that says no? Maybe its the police officer? maybe its the father? It sounds like an older voice. Liberals are always ready to blame the police for everything. The police officers are heros for saving this family.

Well obviously, since you did let the cat out of the bag, you are apparently from Ohio and most likely an associate or member of the family. Truly sorry for your loss, if that is the case, but you simply cannot condone bad behavior or even try to justify the boys behavior and choices he made just because you may have a connection to him. I have children of my own who I happen to consider "good kids", but you never know in life when something's going to happen to make one "snap" and act totally out of character. As parents, it's up to use to try and ensure that our children get the help and guidance that they may need in life - as they become older, all we can do is make suggestions and support them, but as the old proverbial saying goes, you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make them drink - you can only hope for the best and pray that they make the best choices in life. Sometimes things don't turn out as we would like them to, but you can't blame society for that. The boy was an adult, he made his own choices and he clearly had a plan. Had it been my child that did this, yes I would be an emotional basket case, but I certainly would not try to condone his actions as it was quite evident that he had an agenda, breaking into someone's home at 4 am with a shotgun, making the demands that he did - all of this certainly is not normal behavior. But bottom line is - this is not something that your average person would do. But since he did, like other posters have said, you do the crime then be as equally prepared to do the time, whatever the form may be, he was the only one responsible for bringing this whole situation about - not the family, not the cop.

YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO THE VIDEO AGAIN!!! Of course there is no conversation between the police and the suspect because at the time of shots being fired, the dispatcher is talking to the son who is in his bedroom. THAT is when you hear the gun fire. I KNOW that there was converstation going on - it just wasn't recorded because of so many other converstaions going on with dispatch that WERE being recorded. There you go - END OF STORY.

ok well you can assume anything you want
i am sayin time reported 911 call was 359 shots were fired at 404 that is five min. you hear everything on vidio i think you should of heard cop say drop your weapon. because they say he said that several times. they reported that they were on floor strugling, so we will see. i think i have aright to my opinion

You have every right to your opinion, just as I have a right to mine. And no, I make no assumptions, not with you and not with this case. Just don't give out too much food for thought if you don't want people to assume. I'm just saying that the evidence that they have thus far pretty much speaks for itself. And no - that is the whole problem here...you DO NOT hear everything on video because there were too many other conversations going on with dispatch between all of the family members. And the time issue is a moot point because help could have been just around the block, on the next street. But let me make one thing perfectly clear here, and I'm not asking you to agree with me on this - but if I was awaken at 4 am by someone breaking into my home, and I confronted this person, only to learn that he was armed with a shotgun that was being aimed at me with demands being made to see my daughter as well, you can bet that the last thing I'd be trying to do is "reason" with this person. I'd be thinking of ways to save myself and my family - don't you get that point? There is nothing here that this family did wrong-they were the ones violated. What gave this young man the right to do what he did in the first place? He infringed on them with a WEAPON that he intended to use - so who should have been the one to die?? The family?? The officer?? What did they do wrong? If you can justify that question with a valid explanation, then maybe I can see your point to a degree. But the way I see it, NOTHING can validate what this boy did to this family.

Cops entered the home AFTER hearing a gunshot. Stop trying to blame the police for the intruder's actions.

Listen to the tape. Officer states that shots are fired before he moved in. That's where the info came from.
