I am sorry that you had to see that. The same thing happened to our family 2 summers ago. A guy was killed right in front of our house on RT 60. He was attempting to pass and hit an oncoming car head on. My youngest son saw the man dead in his car. Terrible thing for a child to see. Now I have a teenaged son driving, so needless to say I am a wreck.

People need to slow down on RT 60. For some reason it is a deadly stretch of highway.

Drive safe EVERYONE.

How awful. I travel Route 60 frequently and have noticed that many people there drive like idiots. From Seniors driving 25 in the 45 MPH section...to teenagers on their cell phones not paying attention. Not to mention the people making left turns in front of traffic in the "McDonalds strip" section. Oh...and don't forget the people who think the turn lane down the center there is an extra driving lane!

I'm NOT saying that was the case here...but many accidents on Route 60 are caused by the above problems. God bless that gentleman's family..and so sorry you had to witness the whole thing.:-(

Take the back roads from Kimblestand through South Stockton, Red Bird, and Kabob. Once in Cassadaga take Glassgow Road past the Golf Course and Job Corpse to Fredonia-Stockton Road and take that into Fredonia/Dunkirk. Takes about the same amount of time with half the headaches or frustration (Winter time gets hairy, so stick with Route 60 if winter driving makes you nervous).

Good advice Steve, as long as you take it easy. Please see newspaper clip below.

STOCKTON -_________ 19, of Sinclairville was injured Sunday in an accident on Route 380 in Stockton. Deputies said ---- was driving south on Route 380 near James Road when he lost control near a curve in the road. The vehicle struck a ditch and rolled over.----- was cared for by Stockton volunteer firefighters and flown by Starflight to the Erie County Medical Center for treatment of injuries.

This is one of my kid's best friends. I deleted his name for his privacy. This happened this weekend. Thank GOD he is ok. He had a nasty bump to the head, and hopefully a learned lesson to SLOW DOWN. That would have been another terrible tragedy. He is a wonderful kid and I just love him. I am so glad he is ok.

Enough said. Thanks for letting me speak my mind.

Glad to hear he's ok. I also had to learn a few lessons the hard way. Between that and speeding tickets, I pretty much started driving like my grandpa by the time I reached 25.

Steve was my mothers long time boyfriend. He was the father of 6 children that miss him everyday. My mothers heart still breaks for him.Im sorry anyone had to witness his accident,i will admit that he was somewhat of a crazy driver,in this case,it is thought that he may have had a heart attack and passed out behind the wheel. He was a sick man and maybe this was gods way to end his suffering.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Aquarius

The more you want to control someone, or someone wants to control you, the more difficult life will be today. It's a Full Moon and a lunar eclipse, so the last thing you should do now is to act as though you own this person, or tell them what to do, because it will be an instant recipe for rebellion and trouble. Mars is retro in your house of significant others and open enemies after all. If you don't want to spoil the evening's celebrations you'll have to make compromises, and hope that this other person will do the same. Don't let the fuss stop you having a very happy New Year's Eve.
