As I drove past the new location for Darrell's Auto it made me wonder how many mennonites come to Stover and do business with him? Or how many out of work carpenters in the area probably buy most of their parts from him? Did he do any of his business local, did he use the lumber yard or pumbing store? I think I will be using O'reillys when I need parts.

There are alot of people that dont like him because he would rip them off with high prices and over time that adds up. I wonder how many of his loyal customers will continue to line his pockets with their money. I bet he screwed the wrong person and they burned his building.

I am happy that he is reopening the business...any business in the town will be beneficial to the "growth" we need in support of our children's future.Ultimately I respect him for rebuilding, and it really doesn't matter to me if he kept his business local or not.financial situations are tough for most everyone right now, and if he was more frugal with his money (that was financed by a local bank based on the sign in front of the new location)and maybe got a better deal somewhere else...are you telling me that you only do business with in the city limits of Stover? Do you only buy your groceries at G2M, and supplies from Dollar General or the Lumber Yard? Saving is the name of the game, and we should be thankful he chose to keep his business here!

Personally, I am glad to see Darrell's rebuilding, and the sooner the better. While I don't generally need a lot of parts, it is good to have a local business to go to. I haven't found his prices to be much higher than the "chains"...especiall y when you factor in the cost in time and gas to drive an extra 20 miles. When he reopens, I will be shopping there.

Darrell has ALWAYS been a great man, his prices are not bad at all. Talk about prices have you priced anything through Fajen lumber lately???? We all shop where things are cheaper!!! Building industry is no different. Trust me!!!!! Kuddos to Darrell if I didn't live an hour away I would still buy all my parts from him!

Why isn't Fajen open past 12 on Saturday? Yep, prices high - like some workers!

Iam really glad that Darrell's and Fajen's are both open. They are here in town. I don't have to drive to Versailles or to Lowes to get the stuff I use on a regular basis. The cost of gas adds up over time. I am buying in Stover if I can. I suggest that all citizens of Stover do likewise.
