The Truth - thanks! Bubba isn't quick to catch on to scarcasim, so maybe we need to drop our conversation down to about 4th grade level for his sake. Also, I really don't care if Bubba is Travis or not, because I think he is disturbed either way.

Too bad Travis' grandfather isn't still alive and working, Travis could spend his prison time with his granddaddy guarding him. I wonder what the morning will bring?(December 4, at 9:00)

I will be praying for you. If you do not mind me asking, what is happening on Friday, that you would need special prayers?
Good luck in your endeavors!
You are in my families prayers.

I am wondering why an organization as large as the Baptist Organization hasn't removed Mr Smith from the Pastorial position that he holds if he is as guilty as everyone seems to say he is. First of all I would think that if he is as guilty as everyone says he is if the Baptist Organization didn't get rid of him that would kind of make them liable like the Catholic Church that had the priests molesting children. I for one don't think he is as guilty as everyone claims, and I think that he just pissed off the wrong people in a small community and they have found something to try to get on him. Maybe Mr Smith ought to consider a lawsuit for all who have accused him falsly, like the last charge he was found innocent of.

Thank you all for your prayers! It was a personal matter that involved other people, so I can't say any more about it. But, I felt the Lord with me today and things are looking much, much better for EVERYONE involved!

Baptist Churchs are self governed, the organization doesn't have the power to do it. The church itself would have to remove him. As for the local chruch being liable for him, I think you are right. I wonder what there insurance thinks about all this? As for pissing off a small community, it involves more than one. As for the lawsuit you would have to have a leg to stand on. He was found not guilty, NOT INNOCENT. The other case was droped because that girl said she was 17 win they started having sex.

Ya know I looked up the definition of Not Guilty in the dictionary one night and one of the definitions of Not Guilty according to the Dictionary is "INNOCENT", now what do you think about that there shit?

I guess my next question would be if Baptist Churchs are self governed, and the Majority of members feel this Preacher Man is guilty of Un-Godly conduct than why don't the church members vote, and tar and feather him and ride him out of the church on a rail? My guess is that the majority of members don't feel he is guilty and there are only a few people who use several different names on Topix in an attempt to dis-credit Preacher Man.

So, i suppose you are saying that truly innocent people never have been convicted of something they didn't do ???? Get real Bubba, God knows the truth,.travis knows the truth, the victims know the truth. Travis will get his someday.....too many girls have come forward that are unrealated, and unknown to each other...this is not some vendeta towards smith in fact, many of these victims and their families were very close to smith until they found out he violated their very trust. talk about the facts and details not your own personal garbage. Smith did do this, and the church that supports him, is helping him get to young girls...plain and simple.

All I remember saying is that one of the definitions of Not Guilty is "Innocent" Idiots keep saying that he was found Not Guilty but that there don't make him Innocent. According to the Dictionary definition it does. People ought to know the meaning of something before they start beating their gums. How come all you Bible Thumpers that don't like the preacher man just quit and go to another Church? The Majority of the Church members might just be glad you did. I doubt that the Church would lose that many members because as I suspect there are probably not that many dis-satisfied members. Probably just a few that use several names on Topix to make it look like more that there really are.

Okay Bubba, obviously this is over your head. Honestly, who cares what the people at that church think, they are dillusional, facts are the man has been charged multiple times, he has been identified, by numerous women/girls that don't know each other...He has subjected himself to questionable situations ESPECIALLY FOR A PREACHER. Now, if your not a church going person, you are not going to understand the implications of that until your daughter or grand daughter goes to that church, grows up to be a lovely 15 year old, he starts to "play" and flirt with her, and before you know, she's infatuated and he pounces on her. It is not okay for a preacher, or any married man for that matter, with a person of age (17 in missouri) NOT TO MENTION flirting or touching underage people. As far as the courts go, he got off on one because she said she was 17 when they had sex. That may be okay with you, but I doubt the parents thought it was okay. Guilty people get off all the time...he's just another and maybe that's okay with you but MOST LAW ABIDING CITIZENS, do not think this is okay, nor do they think a person with multiple charges is beyond reproach

I Think that some of this may be over your head, 17 is the legal age of consent, and the law really don't give a damn if the parents, or you, or anyone else cares or not. If the girl is 17 years old and consents than if the parents don't like it they need to take that up with their daughter. Do you get it now?

No you don't get it, if a 17 year old girl consented to lay down and have sexual relations with a 40 year old man, and she didn't find it dis-tasteful, than who the hell are you and me to find it dis-tasteful. If the girl consented than I reckon she didn't find it to be distasteful. I think the girl is the one with the problems. Oh I forgot he "Groomed" her whatever the hell that means. Bubba aien't got a wife, guess you cheat on your Goat

That 17 year old girl was NOT 17 when it started!!!! She recanted because Travis convinced her he still loved her an they could only be together if he dIdnt go to jail!!! He is a predator that needs to go to jail so he knows what it feels like to be a victim!!! The men in prison will make sure he knows that feeling!!!

I clearly recall reading a post on this here Topix, indicating that the girl "said" she was seventeen when her and Preacher Man had sex. If the girl said she was seventeen and she was not than you are saying that she "Lied" to protect Preacher Man. If the girl lied about her age than what else has she lied about? I find it interesting how you would know what the "Men" in prison will make him feel like, are you an expert on being in Prison?
