What happened to the sex affenders post?

What happened to this post? I think it's quite hilarious that the post disappears when someone says the Morgan County DA isn't doing his job.

I personally don't have an issue with the man, however, I've heard a number of comments that he doesn't do his job.

So then the question I have is why does he still have a job when he's supposed to be elected by the people of the county.

Marvin Opie doesn't do anything! He is a joke at the very least! He won't prosecute certain people in town's kids for the crimes they commit (Chuck Pryor are you listening?) or teachers who have sex with students (Mark Garber are you listening?) He just excuses himself from the case because he is a joke that gets almost 100,000 to do nothing. To hell with him!

well fact of the matter is that soon after someone mentioned Opie not doing his job, the post disappeared off here. Personally I think everyone that is convicted of a sexual crime should be hung. Everyone convicted of murder should be hung. And none of this waiting for it either, soon as they're convicted they should be taken outside and hung.

I've read in the paper that some take 2 weeks for a conviction, yet others don't even make the paper and 6 months later are still waiting on arrainment.

It is also sad that in Morgan county you can kill your wife, hide the body and get 7 years for murder. If I were a killer, I'd love to live down there because I wouldn't have to do any jail time.

For someone to get on here and act like they know what the prosecutor does and does not do is stupid. For starters, Marvin Opie excused himself of the Pryor case and another Prosecutor did the case and as far as Mark Garber, maybe the victims did not want him to prosecute. It amazes me how people get on here and make comments and post hurtful things when they DONT KNOW THE TRUTH! I could handle it better if you would preface a statement with..."in my opinion" or "I think"....I hope someone never posts anything UNTRUE about you or your family. I guess another thing you could do is go to law school and then run for prosecutor! LOL

You can go to hell right along with Marvin Opie! I know first hand what he does and doesn't do! And from what everybody sees he doesn't do anything! He excuses himslf from any case that deals with anyone's kid who is seen as "important" in town! I know lots of details about both cases and many others around this town he has turned a blind eye to, as well as others. When you get elected to do a job you do the job! Nobody around this town gets $100,000 to do absolutely nothing except Opie! If you don't want to do the job then get out of the job! I am not one of those kind of people trying to find a place to go to. I know the area very very well and know that in that area you can get more time for having drugs than you can for killing your wife, hiding the body, and lying. I hope that answers stovers born and raised ? BUT I just cant seem to get an answer to mine.

Ok ...first off I'm going to say that I guess the people of the county think he's doing a good job because they have elected him there. The people in that county can vote him out if he doesn't do his job. Now that being said. Now I know firsthand that Opie says one thing and does another. And Unbelievable the fact is (again this is firsthand knowledge) that Marvin Opie is a liar and with that being said is worthless.

To anyone who reads this, I would suggest that if you have a child that gets molested in Opie's district, I would suggest that you just take the guy and hang him or otherwise make the person disappear because letting Opie deal with a case like this means that the particular child will either have to live in fear of the person who molested them comming after them, or best case scenario that you won't be allow to support your child when they have to go to court.

it was probably done away with because PK was mentioned and his cousin who works for morgan county family services come here and seen my post about PK. Oh LS has passed awaythe last friday of oct 2009.
