Help me to understand something. Why did the city water department clean-up the toxic waste from the old card shop. The water company put a new meter in and found toxic material from the old underground tanks. They dug all the dirt out, back filled the hole, dried it, and then paid to have it dumped at a special dump. Most property owners would have been forced to take care of this matter themselves. My understanding is the cost to the city was over $5,000.00, not including the labor, and equipment use. If they had done that with the pallet guy, they could have used all the mulch for beautification of the community, and his lot would be completely cleaned. At least the tax payer would have gotten something back. The city picks some people over others. Must be nice to be on the preferential side of the leaders. If the pallet guy was still buying the card shop, he would be in court over it. Good use of city tax money and equipment. How does that make everyone feel concerning the use of YOUR MONEY???

Now this brings up several questions, and this is why company's who are licensed are the ones who should do this type of work.

Did DNR or EPA approve the clean-up. Was the soil tested to assure that all the contamination was cleaned-up. How was the equipment cleaned after handling the waste, and how was the dirty water contained from cleaning the equipment? When drying the waste, was it on concrete so it would not contaminate more soil, or were any preventative steps taken concerning rain water washing through the waste and contaminating more ground/ground water? If DNR or EPA was present, who paid for all the testing? Or was DNR/EPA not present and the city just made themselves liable for more problems and issues? I would like to know, wouldn't you...

The guy who does not pay city taxes would have to post on this link, what a suprize. I already told you what to do, but your brain does not function well enough to figure it out. Again, not all those other names...Why doesn't someone in the family get some help for this person, like a guadian because he obviously cannot function on his own.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Virgo

Keep a pinch of salt handy today because not everything you hear will be the gospel truth. Someone might have manipulated the facts to make them sound more acceptable, or they may have got carried away and forgotten to tell you something rather vital. Try to keep misunderstandings to a minimum by being as straightforward and honest as possible, and by not simply assuming that people know what you're talking about and therefore not bothering to explain properly.
