Yes, there is no focus in the community. I believe they are easily distracted due to the loss of brain function from heavy metal contamination in the water; hence, this is how these people keep getting re-elected and placed in office. Check out the statistics on Morgan county at the Center for Disease Control web site. They have a much higher reading than surounding counties with developmental disabilities and sensory problems. Scary numbers...

Poor baby he got your stinger in an uproar. If i was him i would comment too. You tried to hire a hitman, cause he did not agree with you. He could be the nicest man but do him wrong the worst nightmare.

well i feel any police officer with a dwi should not be a police officer especially 3 dwi and if the city council cant do there jobs right they to should be replaced. And I would say there are alot of people out there that feel the same way.

I'm getting depressed from all the bad things I have done when I was drinking, and running into cars that were in my way. Now I realize it was probably the water I was drinking instead of the beers.

I know Trampus. I know that Trampus did make a mistake. He is an excellent father and cop. I don't know a single person in this world that hasn't made a mistake. He deserves a chance to right his wrong, and he deserves to do this without all these people living in glass houses throwing stones at him.
There are much bigger issues than this, and he's human so cut him a little slack.

Good guy or not, there are things you can do to disqualify yourself from any profession. Getting drunk, driving, crashing into cars and injuring the occupants of those cars sort of disqualifies you from being a cop at all, much less a 'good cop'. So does picking up a felony charge.

It hurts when your friends or family make choices that screw up their lives. It was their choice however and the best thing you can do for them is let them take their medicine. This is not to say that you cannot still be friends with them, or offer support.

You missed the Point, it was not his fault, the other vehicles were just in the way, and if the other cars hadn't been in his way they wouldn't have gotten hit.

but it was his fault being drunk he should not have gotten behind the wheel of a car period,so what he should do is resign as a cop all together.

How Much bigger issue is there than a Cop under a Felony Indictment, the way I see it, is the only way to right his wrong is to go to jail like someone else would if they did what he did. Being an excellent Father has nothing to do with his actions, in other words to put it plainly it doesn't mean Moose Tits. You are right about one thing though there is not a single person in this world that hasn't made a mistake, but damn I believe he has made the same one several times. Are we going to wait until the next time when he kills someone and than say Oh is Me poor dead person.

Of course we have all made mistakes! I have made my share and I will admit to them. However, let's just say that if I worked down at Cindy's restaurant and I was waiting tables...and I spilled a fresh, hot pot of coffe all over someone and Cindy didn't fire me, she just said it was a mistake and told me to be more careful. Then a few weeks later I did it again, but this time it was all over a little kid and Cindy didn't fire me. And again a couple months later I did it again and Cindy didn't fire me but instead promoted me to head waitress and allowed me to work even more and told me to carry two pots of coffe at once - regular and decaf. Now I'm a double menace! And all the while I'm the one training the new waitresses on how to serve coffee.....the best way is to serve it right in your lap! I'm a really nice person though and I'll be sure to bring you wet towels for your burns and even dry clean your clothes for you! It's the same thing with Mr. Jackson. He may be a wonderful man and a terrific father but the EXAMPLE he sets for others in his roll as police office is not right. It simply is not right. He did not have to sit in jail, he did not lose his license for the standard amount of time that a regular person would have to, he did not have to take S.A.T.O.P. classes as a regular person would have to, after your second DUI it is mandatory that you have one of those INTOXALOCK systems in your vehicle for at least six months....did he have one in his police car?
You see, the double standards are enormous! As you said, he is a regular human being just like the rest of us....but yet he is not treated like the rest of us. A police officer should be held to a higher standard! He is an EXAMPLE therefore he should ALWAYS abide by the law, he should ALWAYS use his turn signal, he should ALWAYS stop at stop signs because he is leading by example. When you are teaching your 15 year old how to drive and tell him that he must obey all the laws of the road and he looks at you and says, "Chief Jackson doesn't have to, why should I"? What are you gonna tell him/her?
It really is a simple matter. Do I believe he should have a chance to prove himself as a good officer? Of course I do! I am very thankful for the extra chances I've gotten in this life. However, in this example I gave above...I bet I would never get hired as a waitress again!!! See where I'm going with this?
Once again...it's just my two cents.

I should have said..."Do I believe he should have a chance to prove himself as a good officer?" Yes, I do....but he should have been a pencil pusher or a jailer or something else for a minumum of one year before being allowed to be a full fledged officer again. He needed to prove himself to the public....not just to his friend Cody. When you are in the position of police officer you need to be held to higher standards, not the standards of friendship!
