This is incorrect...ONE of the passengers, Derek Holmes, is the one who came forward and told the truth. The other passenger, Gretchen Sill, changed her story sooo many times that a case couldn't be fulfilled to begin with. The drunk driver was her boyfriend at the time.

yeah, it kind of makes you wonder what happens that causes good boys to turn bad. the gleason i know, not this one, is awesome. great family. great upbringing. good morales and values. would take responsibility for his actions. i don't know the others involved. even with alcohol involved, it makes you wonder about this guys character. the gleason i know would take responsibility even under the influence. hard to understand this type of thinking, with regard to the lie about who was driving. alcohol.

no matter how long you lie, and try to cover it up, the truth usually comes out. The victims family has been through so much, to see this all over with will be a blessing. My thoughts go out to Levi's mom and sister. I would say Levi too but seems to me that he doesn't really have a conscious about the life he took.

I really hope that Glen County displays more justice than Butte County. If this guy is from a good family then I wouldn't be surprised if he gets 6 months county jail for murder.

Glenn county isnt even dealing with the case anymore. The CA state attorney general is, so hope this all turns out for the better of the victims family.

If you know all the families involved here it is self explanatory why the Glenn County DA did not try this case.

Exactly...they're all basically "good ol' boys" and Gleason's grandfather is/was a cop of some sort...that explains a lot right there.

the gleason's i know are a great family, and I know they do not condone the decison levi and the others in the car made to cover up the truth. it has nothing to do with why the D.A. dropped the case. The D.A.'s in glenn county make huge cases out of nothing and toss the serious cases out. I think they are incompetent. They aren't capable of handling the big stuff. But they sure act like "Big Stuff" when they prosecute someone who pokes a person with a pencil and gets assault with a deadly weapon charge. the elk creek accident was horrible. but i think they are all guilty, they were all drinking, all lieing.

It really doesn't matter what the others were doing...none of them were driving EXCEPT LEVI! And the victim was NOT intoxicated...the EMT's made an alcohol test one of the first things they did. But again, it doesn't matter if anyone else was drinking...Levi was the one driving.

Levi needs to learn a lesson..he has been this way for as long as I have known him. Ask anyone in his hometown and they will be able to tell you that he is ALWAYS drinking, and always driving in away in his pickup. I personally have ridden with him while he was drinking and driving (stupid mistake of mine) so I know on hand that he is NOT innocent.

wow.......Sure are a lot of ignorant people commenting on here!!! None of you know what your talking about...get a life...find something else to do. Gleason was the only one in the car who hadnt ever had a DUI, check the facts, and Dave Alexander tested positive for weed that morning also. No one really Knows the whole story, just rumors and hear say. Derek Holmes is nothing but an alcoholic punk, Does everyone know that he almost killed Gleason in an accident a couple years before this one? Because he was driving drunk? Oh ya, nope, thats because Dereks grandfather is a cop, so he made sure it was covered up, instantly, while Gleason had to be life flighted out, in serious condition, later that night. Nobody knows the Dave and Levi that were out partying every night, both trashed, taking turns driving, right? Dave personally pulled into my driveway numerous times, with a 12 pack, completely trashed. I can guarentee, with no doubt what so ever, that If Dave were here, he would NEVER have tried to put the blame on Levi, Never!! They were best friends, had been for a long time. Daves parents, especially his dad,are trying to put the blame on Levi, to make up for being shitty parents to Dave when he was around. His father didnt even speak to him, and told him what a piece of shit he was, nice huh?? Quit commenting on here unless you know your head from your ass!!!

No idiot.... Dereks grandpa is a cop of some sort, not Levi's. You should really keep your mouth shut until you actually know what your talking about, and if you have a problem with that, then post your name next time, you really need to get a life
