Mr. Tantone. Just what experience does this former news 12 newscaster have? You have got to be kidding? This is the best candidate you could find? Flotteron is a horrible candidate. he has no money, has no experience, has no campaign staff and no issues. looks like 5-0 in November!

Trish brings a new face to the Islip GOP, and Steve is one of the hardest working people I have ever met. Nolan's "shot" sounds like that of a man who may be a little scared.

A brilliant move by Frank Tantone.

Trish Bergen is a mother of three children and as such will keep an eye out for the next generation.

With every good wish.

This is a saga of multiple acts of disloyalties. The star is Tantone new GOP chair in Islip who grabs a candidate from outside his party and slaps the faces of loyal gopers who work for his party. If he felt that this inexperienced bored housewife was so necessary, why did he demand she change her enrollment. Now we must address the bored housewife...it seems that her claim to fame is that she once dated Billy Joel how does the father of her children, about whom we hear nothing, feel about that.
The need to recapture the center stage mentality has led her to cast aside her chosen party. Lots of commitment there. A PART TIME newsperson lots of name recognition there not to mention she thinks this constitutes government experience, she is a nitwit. The greatest act of disloyalty is foisted by the GOP ON THE RESIDENTS OF ISLIP by fielding this idiot as a candidate.

Could anyone tell me what experience this woman has? She was with news 12 5 years ago. Could you imagine her debating Jim Morgo on the issues? Even Chris Bodkin ( who is loved on the east end of Islip) would hae a better grasp of the issues. Last year, the Islip GOP ran Clara Datre for Town Supervisor. The only difference betwee Clara an Trish is makeup. Underneath, they are two women that have no experience and no grasp of the issues. Tantone, you could have done better than this!

Your poem concerning Jim's mask was perceptive. However your comment concerning Bergin wherein you, with a resume of vast government experience, strive to find something positive about this sorely inexperienced candidate diminshes you.

Really? Well, she's not qualified, end of story. Did she walk the streets as a Republican committee woman? Ms Bergin, should do what she does best, report the news, if she gets elected this is bad news for us. Did she stand at the corner of Suffolk Avenue, and Carlton Ave,(highest spanish population outside of NYC) in the rain at dinner time handing out flyers for Reppublican votes? She does not represent what is need on the Islip Town board. We need representation from the area of Brentwood/Central Islip. Mr. Tantone, apparently doesn't get it. too bad, Jim Morgo, looking for another cushion seat close to home.

What a Joke. Does Bergin even know the difference between Republican and Democrat? What are her credentials, teleprompter reading, and blonde hair? This is an embarrassment to all town Republicans if this is the best we have.

Bergen brings the new aera the GOP and Islip Town needs. Flotteron brings the experience of taking on the last Politico, McGowan, and winning.

Where does Nolan go for candidates, lazy life-long former Republicans or life-long public teet suckers.

On the issues, who are you going to trust in getting your basic town services from Obama's local dela makers or the GOP who everytime in the past 15 years, held the tax rate at, dare I say Zero.

Reps: 13 straight years at 0%
Nolan & Dems 1 stratigt year at 3%

You decide.

Let Nolan or Rich take shots at her and watch it backfire. They need to peddle carefully here. She is well liked and taking a shot at her will not go over big.

No Jack A**. She worked as a journalist and therefore could not be involved in a political party until she took unpaid leave from her job to do this. Did you go to the republican screening? She talked about how she FLEW to MEXICO to cover the immigration issue. She knows that issue inside out and has some great ideas (none of which she can impose on the TOWN level, however. But you can bet she is talking with Reps. in Washington about ideas, now that she is not working as a journalist and CAN talk about the solutions. BEATS standing at the corner of Suffolk Avenue.
Its unfortunate that when a pretty woman tries to make change, all you men talk about is how stupid she might be and how big her boobs are.

the upside is that bodkin and morgo will not win the primary. they will lose the primary because they will not be able to get out the vote.

watch out bergin and flotteron, it will be fritz and jacobs and newsday will and channel 12news will be giving these candidates a lot of ink, for free. but don't bet the ranch i dont see morgo or bodkin in the cards. they will fold before the convention........ all morgo wants to do is to beef up his pension and he wont get 20 signatures for his petition. and what democrat will get petitions signed for one who wont get his own..??

no increases but new tax divisions, hiding tax increases behind new titles. Post here if your tax bill went down during the time period you mention. Also the GOP supervisor went to jail, i guess the DEMS were at fault there to. Also Bergin would be a DEM today if they would be desperate enough to run her.
