I hear you, but many of us have read many articles about the girl and have even donated.
We are trying to get a picture of the actual hardship she had growung up with this apparent creatin. I hope that the other 6 are safe and sound. I just don't understand how people could contuinue to have so many kids with no means of support. How old were the others, I mean, the father is so much older than the mother. Do they still live at tat same house in mastic.
All of the details of Krista's past life with her biological family is really irrelevant! The main element here is that the child has passed after a long battle with cancer. The most important factor is that she was an inspiration to others and had the kind of beautiful, generous spirit that this world definitely lacks but certainly needs more of. Everything else is insignificant.

Krista Ruthanne was a beautiful, kind and loving child, and her short life was greatly enriched by the amazing and loving family who adopted her. Cheryl and Dave gave Krista what no other family members could possibly give her - a home filled with love, a supportive and caring circle of good friends, brothers who adored her, and a childhood. They made Krista's last years on this earth as happy and as comfortable as was humanly possible. They gave her a name, a family and the security she had never known.
What Krista gave back to them, and to the people who knew her cannot be expressed here. Krista was all goodness, light and love. She was truly an angel on this earth and is now an angel in the Kingdom of God.
Let her rest in peace, let the family who misses her so much grieve in private, and please close this blog, as it now seems to have taken on a petty and self-serving air, which can do no one any good.

She is going straight to heaven, no doubt.

She went thru more than most humans inaginable. Just that many of us have a hard time even fathoming how hard a life she had. Its something that you would see on film. Her two bio-parents really not taking any responsibility for anything.
The county and state not doing the job. I just hope her two real parents are somewhat repentant about what happened. But somehow I do not think so. Lets hope those two dont have anymore kids.
Very sad too

Beautifully put. Agree with every word wholeheartedly. You sound like a wonderful person.

what did the bio father do for a living that he was always working?
Didn't he see what was going on?
I am not joking about this, but were they learning disabled?

<quoted text>If I'm not mistaken, when a child is adopted she usually takes the name of the adopting family. The article refers to Krista RUTHANNE. I would venture to say she took the adopting family's last name as well. I'm so sorry but Krista Ann Loscalzo gave up that name last year.
You say you thank the new family for taking care of her yet you consistantly diss them when you refer to Krista Ann Loscalzo.
This will be my last post defending my family to the ignorant comments made by people like yourself.
We are not "Dissing anybody by calling her Krista Ann Loscalzo, do you expect us to completely forget this poor little girl as our blood.
Unfortunately at the time I wasn't in the position to try and adopt her myself. My family made attempts to do so but as I stated in an earlier post we couldnt get through the red tape of the Family Courts. Let us not forget we were going to adopt all the children not just Krista.
It is unfortunate that you people can't let this poor girl have peace.
Yes for the last time my Uncle is also to blame in this situation. In my personal opinion Ursula should be given the Death Penalty or at least a life in prison for the way she mistreated theses poor children.
I Thank God the the remaining children are safe now and that Krista is in Heaven far from all the suffering that she has gone through.
It is with all my heart that I thank Dave and his beautiful family for making Krista thier own and giving her the happy life she deserved.
I will be making a donation in Krista's name and I hope that we all can do so to try and SAVE other children.

Nobody is trying to bother you and such.
Just that perhaps, as a way for this not to happen again, talk to newsday or at least yor local congressmen.
Maybe something good in the future can come of this..

Your ignorance is almost getting sympathy from me. As far as this not happening again, talking to Newsday, nor the local Congressmen will prevent it. If you are so interested in helping, make donations to Cancer organizations, and hug your children. Knowledge of the past will NOT help other children.

I was in the hospital with Krista a few years ago. This little girl was the bravest person i have ever met. I love her to pieces and admire her perseverence and courage to battle cancer. She is now in heaven, cancer free and lovin' it. She is the cutest princess in the world and i miss her soooooo much, but now shes free.--Gianna
