Not saying you deserved it...just telling the truth that 28 Sarah Drive, Lake Grove was under investigation after numerous reports to the SCPD that there was drug dealing going on. SCPD had been called to house over 30 times since Nov.'05 on reports of numerous cars coming and going at all hours and suspicious activity. SCPD was taking down plates of men parking blocks away and walking back to house. Constant coming and going, visitor staying only few mintues, at all hours of day & night, parking their cars blocks away and walking back to house?????????? Sounds like normal behavior. NOT! Sorry you got hurt...just unlucky to be at the "wrong place at the wrong time" I guess. Good luck in your recovery and try to be careful in the future who you associate with.

The nieghbors were probably complaining about his freinds, The nieghbors act like they own the street and bitch when people park in front of thier houses.so instead of blocking peoples precicious lawns, these kids show respect and park elsewhere.
I have people on my block thier age and the cars come and go all nite, mostly because alot of them work till late at night. This isn't the 50's , Life goes on after 9 pm these days.

IT WOULD HELP IF YOU'D LEARN TO READ BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR COMMENTS...WE WERE CONCERNED ABOUT THE 30-40 PEOPLE PER NIGHT WHO WERE PARKING OVER 1/4 MILE AWAY AND WALKING BACK TO THE HOUSE...SCPD WAS CONCERNED ALSO AND WAS INVESTIGATIONG. THIS WASN'T ABOUT SOME ONE GETTING MAD ABOUT WHO WAS PARKING IN FRONT OF THEIR HOUSE...THIS WAS A BUNCH OF CONCERNED RESIDENTS, WHO PAY ALMOST $8,000.00 A YEAR FOR TAXES, HAVING STRANGERS USE OWN STREETS AS PAKING LOTS TO BUY DRUGS. WE WERE ALL WORRIED SOMETHING BAD MIGHT HAPPEN IN THAT APARTMENT...A FIGHT, A SHOOTING, OR EVEN MAYBE AN EXPLOSION. SO LET THIS BE A LESSON TO ALL YOU "YOUNG PEOPLE"...DRUGS KILL IN MORE THAN ONE WAY!

Hanging out at malls and in basement apartments....kind of old to be doing that...whatever happened to beach parties and camping. Its inconceivable to me I guess, been gone a long time..but a BASEMENT apt way out in the sticks of Lake Grove!!??? You cant be serious. What happened to all the farms and fields for hunting? And the ponds for fishing? This is a crime against nature and the punishment is a slow death.

Where the hell is the Village of Lake Grove? Is that the intersection of routes 25 and 347?

I just wanted to say that if people dont know the real story maybe they should read it first before they make nasty and untrue comments. Two of my friends were in this fire and barely survived. They fought hard for their lives! I cant even imagine the emotional pain they have been going through and I dont think its fair to make it any worse for them.

I agree, theonly mistake they made is choosing to hang out with some idiot who shoots guns at refridgerators.

He shot the gun off at someone who was trying to rob him of his illegally obtained money from "his business". No one in their right sober mind would fire a firearm in an apartment or any dwelling. And are we really supposed to believe that 7 adults were all crammed into one bedroom playing video games...on a 100 degree night??????????

And I don't recall any one of his "friends" saying what the victim did for a living? I know what all the others did from the article, but never mentioned his "occupation". How was it that he was paying $1500.oo/month rent? He obviuosly didn't have much money to spend on furnishings for the apartment according to the article.

How about you raise your children across the street from apartments rented by drug dealers who fire off rifle when they're messed up. How about you have skids parking on your street and littering their beer cans and rolling papers on your lawn at all hours of the night. Don't preach to me...I PRAY FOR ALL SINNERS!!!!!!!!!!

It used to be a nice community...Now we're home to meth labs, racial hate crimes, 17 drunk drivers who kill 16 year old girls, men who murder their wives...etc.
