It's a great idea. Nice to see people finally becoming more environmentally conscious.

How on earth can they have a "green" event at a restaurant that serves and promotes the eating of meat when the whole meat industry is among the biggest causes of deforestation???? Sounds like another stupid event.

There are vegan restaurants on Long Island. Why wasnt the event held in one of those places?

Another sign that the end of civilization as we know it is close at hand.

Tree Huggers - gotta love'em. Spending more money for "green" products and lining the pockets of the "green" companies which make them. Snake Oil at it's finest.

And since when was meat not green?(That did not come out right).

I was wondering if any Fishers island lighthouses would get included? I guess not... need a boat for that.

Will Newsday pay for all the gas I burn (at $4.00/gallon) driving from one end of Long Island to the other just to see some lighthouses?

Wonderful vegans. Like the four arrested for stranding a hunter in the woods by rolling his car down the hill and crashing it. It would have been funny had the mans son, a diabetic, not gone into shock walking out...

Or the "vegans" that poisined 14 hunting dogs.

Or the "vegans" who dont realize their Starbucks was gathered by a five year old slave.

Or the "vegans" who make sure to have 6 Mexicans mowing their lawn, because its "cheaper".

Go take 7000 vitamins and minerals and try to convince your body its food.

My G/F used to be a vegan, until she grew up and realized how STUPID she sounded.

Vegans, gotta love them, pumping fuel oil and gasoline into the air, cutting down trees to build houses and buildings, and thinking they are "saving" something by not eating it.
