Does anyone remember the name of the ice cream place that was in Wildwood Crest in the 50's... it was like an ice cream restaurant where one sat and could order something like a "pig sundae"... ice cream, bananas, etc.?

It wasn't right on the beach and it wasn't on the boardwalk. It was blocks from where the boardwalk began...right in the Crest...and you could drive to it. No one remembers the name of the place?

Snuffy's on New Jersey Ave.? They had the best Hoagies. He also fixed up a place for us to dance to the "juke box." No body messed with "Snuffy's kids." Great memories. I lived in the Crest for first 17 years of my life.

The younger kids last names was Oster, but the older brother half-brother Frankie had a different last name. The place that served the ice cream specialties was in the Crest, farther south from the new motels like the Carousel.

Saturday nights at the crest pier dancing, then usually stopping at Snuffy's for a coke before going home. Pantelone's drug store was on corner of Wisteria and New Jersey. Sorry, but don't remember anyone with the name you mentioned.

I finally found the answer; it was Schumann's in the Crest. Later, they moved to another location in midtown. Anyone remember it for those gigantic ice cream specialties?
