Stone Harbor 'to do'

Hello. My family will be vacationing and I wanted to hear from residents and other vacationers about things to do that aren't as advertised as other 'to do items' for Stone Harbor. Suggestions for a family of with 2 younger boys?

BTW...where is the best place to rent a kayak for the day, or maybe a few days in Stone Harbor?

If I placed this in the wrong area, I apologize in advance. Have a good day!

I have a summer home in Stone Harbor - came across your post by accident.
Bring fishing poles....go to a surf shop and get bait and tackle...They will tell you what to use....There are small fish in the surf (besides the stripers and blues)and also in the bay - they will definetly catch something and it will keep them busy on the beach. Also ask about crabbing....Never met a any child who didn't love to crab....Get some lines and a net at a surf shop (someone you know must have an old crab net in their garage collecting dust and if you lucky -crab traps!) Ask surf shop best crabbing locations.
Bring or rent bikes - a must!
There are miniture golf courses in town (on roofs of buildings or across from Springers - they can walk into town from anywhere in Stone Harbor - if they are old enough to be on their own)...
Great Ice Cream and Pizza in town....Springers for Ice Cream a must!....
Take them for lunch at Bradlees - great spot to sit outside for burgers, fries and best cheesesteak!
Enjoy

Two young boys? A definite must then is the Wildwood Naval Air Museum, which is NOT in Wildwood. Head to Rio Grande to the Cape May County Airport, you'll find signs for 'Airport' from the corner of Rts 9 and 47. Old helicopters and fighter planes they can climb in, what could be better!
