Probably because everyone has figured out Maryann Dehart Northington is behind Sharon Conway and Alma Childers and Elwood. She's been giving them tons of money. I don't like certain board members or even the mayor but I have to agree with a poster on the link that was taken down... None of the current members have a personal agenda behind their decisions... No matter how much I dislike them they are much better for the town. if Sharon or Elwood or Alma get elected this town deserves what it gets... The Deharts running the town again. The only agenda these new people would have is doing everything they can to get Barry back in office... And that's not the best thing for this town.

The Town needs to wake up and realize that Conaway, Mabe, and Childers would be a disaster for this Town. Backed by the Northington's deep pockets, they will stop any and all progress our Town hopes to make. Dilapidated properties, cronyism, and inefficiency will return to Walnut Cove, and any progress made aover the last 4 years will be reversed.

I will not vote for candidates whose main motive is revenge against the Town Manager. I hope the rest of Walnut Cove will stand up against these individuals and vote for advancement and progress by supporting the incumbent candidates. They have gotten off to a good start, and I hope we can keep them around!

Amen Acer... If you don't think those 3 are doing this for their own personal agenda you've got to be blind. This town has been on the right track and good things are finally getting done... A vote for any of those 3 would set this town back 20 years.

If you vote for any of those three you deserve what you get and all of us with common sense will be sitting back laughing and saying "we told you so"!!! Certain people make it appear they are all in favor of them but when they go in that voting booth and no one can see how they actually vote it's a different story, let's pray comon sense prevails and the Lord let's everone see Sharon and Almas true colors.

CITIZENS OF WALNUT COVE WAKE-UP NOW!

It is time for the good hard working citizens of Walnut Cove to put a stop to people who do not live in our town from influencing issues that affect the people and property values of Walnut Cove. For much too long, absentee landlords have had much too much influence regarding zoning and code enforcement policy in our town. Recently our elected officials working with town management have made headway toward addressing the issue of derelict properties around our town. With the recent elections behind us, this is no time to lose steam in our battle to cleanup the town. I am urging all fellow citizens to join me, Citizen Kane, to turn the pressure up on this fight to save our property values. We have voted and we should expect these elected officials to put the best interest of the citizens of Walnut Cove first. One only has to take a short tour of Main Street to see shocking examples of these derelict properties. Abandoned buildings with roofs caving in, windows broken out and parking lots littered with trash abound. These properties not only diminish the value of all property in town, they diminish the ability of our town to attract new businesses. If you all as citizens of Walnut Cove value your homes and businesses, please let your elected town officials and town management know you support Citizen Kane on this issue.

POWER TO THE CITIZENS!

Conaway is already starting trouble. She talks about policies being "unprofessional and inappropriate" then goes on to make accusations against our Police Chief in open session right in front of everyone. It's a shame that one bad apple has to spoil the whole bunch, especially right when our town is finally getting on the right track.

DeHart money got her elected, and now the citizens who do participate in this Town will have to deal with her. She has a vendetta against Homer Dearmin, and is not going to stop until she gets him fired, or forces him to leave. She already tried on Tuesday night at the Board Meeting. Also, her husband tried to start a fight with a man who was there to talk to the Board. He got in his face and tried to intimidate him. Electing this woman (and her husband) just took this Town back decades. So much for Walnut Cove getting any better. I think the citizens of this Town need to petition against her!

Daily Horoscope for December 3

Gemini

Financial worries are never far away in these troubled times, but try not to let them get out of control. or you'll make yourself feel really fraught. If you're starting to panic about how you can afford this very expensive month, you need to work out a strict budget. Above all, be realistic about what you can and can't do, and don't allow panic to lead you by the nose.
