Have horses been outlawed in Stokesdale?

Many of friends were legal riding horses and other animals in Stokesdale street side on Friday 18 November. A policeman living in a house where we break for refreshments was threaten we were lawbreakers and could be jailed or sent to Mexico for riding these animals here. We have rights of citizenship that we have freedom of speech, but this police told one of my friends that our speech of spanish was not allowed on his property. I think that he is mistake and his gun should not have been threatened because of our free speech. When one of our dogs was barking, he shot at the sky and frightened the other animals that one frightened and dislocated a grandmother of great size. We wait to see if she is ok at the urgent care. We wish to warn citizens of this policeman that he wears no police outfit but has a large gun that he say he will use if you stop your animals in his yard. This is not right as we have not broken the Stokesdale laws and would like to have our rights as citizens.

Alvarado, it would appear you and your amigos need to retain the servces of an attorney if you are seeking legal advice.

Having said that, here are a few of the legal basics:

Freedom of speech under our constitution is not limited by the primary language which one chooses to use (or is trained/untrained in).

Private property rights are such that no individual has the right to trespass or visit upon the property of another without the express permission of the other individual property owner. So, if you are riding or resting your horse or horses on the property of another individual without that individual's permission, then it is YOU who is in violation of the laws of trespass.

Stokesdale has a 'gun ordinance' which follows the Guilford County gun ordinances which provide that no one can discharge a firearm within 150 yards of an occupied dwelling. If that was the case in your example, then you should contact the local Stokesdale town deputy or call the Guilford County Sheriff's Department and file a complaint.

Again, the best advice anyone on this forum can guide you to, would be to contact an attorney to explore and answer each and all of your legal questions.
