If you like paper plates and drinking wine out of paper cups at full price, this is the place for you. Not to mention a gaggle of teenagers leaning on the counter providing poor service.Food is okay I guess, nothing spectacular. So typical of a Stokesdale restaurant. You either get filth or a popcorn stand in this town.

A good basic pizza joint. I was not disappointed
Not fancy, but clean; very good service, very friendly. I respect anyone who attempts to open a small business in Stokesdale. I fully support their efforts to create and build a town center. I hope more will try it and not build unrealistic expectations before they do.

Being one of the masses (and proud of it) I have been to the Village Pizza two times and found the food to be good in comparison to establishments of similar style and price.

While the service was a little sluggish on both occasions I am sure the managers will get the kinks ironed out as soon as they can. I applaud the owners for making such a large capital investment in Stokesdale. While I don't know for sure I would imagine the use of all the paper products is a result of limitations imposed by the Guilford County Health Department since Stokesdale does not have a sewer system.

Perhaps all the detractors will do us all a favor and move somewhere more suitable for someone of their obvious superiority and status. I would just about bet that they are the same ones who love the very government regulations which make it so difficult and costly to open a business including a restaurant.

I don't understand all of the negative comments here. I like the food and the prices. It sure does beat the hell out of Stokeys. Perhaps all of the experts who expect better should get together and open up their own restaurant. I'd be happy to review it if you do.....

Mr. Stokesdale resident,
Before you make any judgement about the use of of paper plates, you may want to get informed on the regulations the state of NC has for the city of stokesdale's water restrictions for restaurants. Since you are a stokesdale resident you must know we have no sewer system and that means any food service business here cannot have a dishwasher. That is why they use paper plates which I am sure the owner would love to change if they had the option. As far as the teenagers that work there, I think that is a great thing that the owner offers employment to local young girls and guys keeping them off the streets. I feel more business should do the same as well as new future business that may come to stokesdale. I also want to mention that those teenagers you referred to aren't any different than any other employees I've seen from applebees to panera bread etc. Those employees at Village pizza say hello, goodbye, thank you and do pretty well for there first job! Have you no heart for the young community. Give them a break please! I support Village Pizza for their efforts for they are trying earn a living like all of us and aren't hurting anyone. The food is great!!!!!!!!!! and the prices are NOT FULL PRICE. They actually are pretty cheap but give good quality and portions too!

Dear does not appreciate a simple decent local pizza restaurant,

Before you make any assumption you need to educate yourself on state and city regualtion laws on why village pizza had this issue with paper plates.
I am a frequent customers and I enjoy and eat the great food and not worry about the paper plates and cups. I say go Village pizza and thumbs ups!!!!! Glad those guys are here in Stokesdale.

Everyone who is complaining about the sloppy service and paper products are bitter and need to lighten up. I applaud the men who invested and brought jobs to the teenagers in the area. If you are expecting a five star experience then take your ass somewhere else. It is a warm and comfortable enviroment. How a pizza place should be! And I happen to enjoy the food served there and commend the guys running the place for all their sweat and hard work! My sister happens to be one of the teenagers working there and does not show too much skin, they wear tshirts and pants. Any time I have gone in none of the girls were leaning on the counter with mid-sections exposed! Go complain about something worthwhile at least, its a choice to dine there not a force! Keep up the good work Village Pizza!

It hardly seems likely that anyone will take comments made by someone calling himself a "village idiot" seriously.
You're kidding about Stokey's, aren't you? You can't actually prefer their pizza over Village Pizza. I gave up on eating pizza from Stokeys because I had to specifically ask them NOT to burn my pizza when I placed an order or it would ALWAYS be burned. If that is the sort of food you prefer maybe you could ask the cooks at Village Pizza to burn your food because you are used to eating that way.
Do you work at Stokey's?

Daily Horoscope for December 3

Cancer

Take it easy today, or the most insignificant things will get you down in no time. A difficult letter in the post, or a tricky conversation with a loved one, will sink your spirits down to your ankles. Ugh. Life is not as tough as it seems right now, so keep reminding yourself that we can choose to feel better. A bar of delicious chocolate, or a tasty savoury snack might help a little, too...
