The article is pretty vague, for all we know this guy was trying to rob someone? Or Push a lil dope?

What the hell was everyone doing out at that hour?
I live about a mile from there and I can tell you that those grimey little apartments in that area are filled with welfare mommas and drug pushers.

You can drive by there and just about always, you will see people standing on the corner, and sitting out in the littered dead grass in front of the apt's, and peering over the balconies.

The day before yesterday I was on my way to Safeway at about 9:00pm and at the stop sign of GETTYSBURG AND PORTER, a dude (maybe the same kid for all i know) started walking up to my car in a -hoodie sweatshirt, pants hangin off his ass- asking me if I needed "somethin", because if i did "he got it".

last week my wife was on the way home from her swing shift at 4:00am and she said there were 3 young guys out there sitting on overturned shopping carts just smoking weed like they owned the block. and when she drove by the just stared at her, and then one of them said something and stood up, she was so scared she just ran the fuggin stop sign, and they laughed as she did.
bunch of fuggin goons, and I would be willing to bet that the people involved in this altercation was just more of the same.

Its unfortunate because those apartments really affect the property value of the homes in what would otherwise be a nice little neighborhood.

It sucks that the young man lost his life, but until more details are available surrounding the situation, i will have to try to control my bleeding heart.

His parents dont get much sympathy either, should have raised their kids better, but i would be willing to bet they were the of the same mentality.

May it -if nothing else- serve as a reminder, to get yer ass home at a reasonable hour.
