this airline has more mechanical's than any other U.S. carrier, or so it seems. Will probably be the next fatal crash.

Another horrible experience...AVL-FLL flight scheduled to depart Asheville, NC on Sunday March 24 at 5:40 pm, delayed 2 hours, then 3 hours, then 5 hours, never officially cancelled by the airline. Absolutely NO information from the Allegiant gate at the airport. Inbound plane never arrived. Gate agents literally ran away and slammed/locked the door without giving any passengers any informations, however, they did call in security to monitor angry people. Rumors of a problem passenger on the ground in Ft Lauderdale, then placing blame on aircraft control tower. Gave up at 1:30am and went home, on hold with their customer service for over 2 hours (their system re-routes you into the que every 15 minutes) Finally able to speak with a human and told flight re-scheduled to depart today Monday March 25 at 10:15 am. Again flight delayed over 2 hours, again police called to monitor passengers after flight attendant overheard threatening passengers. Understandable why everyone hates the airline industry. Retired flight attendant with over 18 years experience and very sad to know an airline treats their passengers in this manner, with people having no recourse in the matter. First and last experience with Allegiant.

No one was actually "trapped" at the airport. All they had to do was walk over to one of the 8 other "real" airline counters and buy a ticket home. They were only stuck for those who refused to pay more than $69 to fly 2,500 miles.
