Maybe we should put you in jail for your personal choices as well. And then we can let out more murderers, rapists, and thieves because our prison system is too full.

If anyone cares about the future well-being of their younger generation:

Marijuana can and does devastate the education and future of many in school.

Many students are not able to remember much of anything they have learned in class when they are smoking marijuana. Any teacher in middle or high school today can spot the pot smokers because they have little to no recall regarding new information presented in class. When discussing this with them, they admit smoking marijuana and at times when they stop, they do much better academically.

Educators also know that many pot smokers are habitually absent or, when present, they are disruptive in class. These behaviors also negatively affect the academic success of each student. Also, they have a difficult time concentrating for the required amount of time.

Many today blame the teachers for failing schools. Many know that it is today's proliferation of marijuana use that is destroying the lives and futures of thousands in the U.S.

Drug dealers selling drugs to you children is a direct result of prohibition. Drug dealers do not check id's. Teenagers have an easier time getting illegal drugs then alcohol. Plain and simple. Prohibition creates the violence. It's no different then when alcohol was prohibited. Why not read up on some history.

And of course you don't want murderers and rapists to be left out of prison but i got news for you, it's happening. Why? Because they need to make room for more non-violent drug offenders.

If your really concerned about the children, you would want prohibition to end.

In no way do i advocate that children should use any substance. But your post is complete bull sh**. There are plenty of well behaved and well educated people who consume marijuana on a regular basis.

No one is saying that kids should be doing any kind of drug wether its alcohol, pot or prescription drugs. That's why it's crucial to legalize Pot now! The prohibition of Pot puts the dealer in charge of the sale. Unscrupulous dealers not only do not ask for I.D. they also might be selling other, harder drugs to kids because they don't care. It's easier for kids to buy pot than alcohol now because alcohol is regulated and pot isn't.

In 8000 years of known use there has never been a documented death directly attributed to consuming Pot! Ever! There is a term researchers use when determining a substance toxicity. It's called LD 50. It's when 50 % of the test animals die after being given a specific dose of the chemical or drug being tested. Researchers haven't been able to induce any animal to die no matter how much of a concentrated dose of Pot is given. The theoretical amount for pot (LD 50 ) is the equivalent of between 20 and 40 thousand joints that would have to be smoked in 15 minutes. I challenge anyone to do that!
Pot should be RE-LEGALIZED!
That sounds like a challenge for Cheech and Chong !

How about we shrink this down for a second and focus on the people involved; mainly the two boys that are students at Kutztown University. I’m sure right now they are not only worried about what will happen to them in a legal sense, but also what will happen with their education. They are going to college for a reason, to get an education. I really would like to know what the university’s actions will be. Are they going to expel them and send them to the streets? Or are they going to give them a chance to turn their life around and guide them in the right direction. If they throw them to the wolves they’re going to go back to what they know; drugs. I personally hope the University makes an example of them in a positive way, show these boys that they are better than what they have become. Hopefully others that have chose this “life of crime” will see that they too can make something of themselves.

Was the other majoring in business?

Now the two stellar students (who are obviously supported here by many posters)
will be able to witness first-hand the direct intersection of the justice system and the business sector.

Fortunately for your area, there are countless dedicated, intelligent and committed law enforcement personnel who are drug-free.

Personally know some innocent citizens whose lives were threatened by users and dealers because they would not participate so these arrests and stories are always refreshing.

Whether you're support illegal drugs or not, you should admit that those who do not want to be involved should be left alone...but those in the drug business are ruthless, aren't they?

Nice day!

Hope - your intentions are nice for the students involved but the fact is they would have to have save all that drug money in order to graduate.

Any Drug convictions are automatic grounds for your student loans to stop. They will not be eligible for Student Loans anymore. So basically, I'm pretty sure their school days are over.

About being a Business and Criminal Justice major, I'm sure they were laughing about that fact every time they lit up. Its not so funny anymore though.

Another example of why cannabis should be legalized and regulated. The disbanding prohibition put the moonshiners out of business (with a few exceptions in the southeast backwoods), and the lifting of cannabis prohibition would take away the threats to neutral persons since those who use would not have to go through "ruthless" persons like this to acquire.

Correct

From personal experience, this personality type will always find some method of skirting the law whether pot is legal or not.

Also, the users/customers/friends at ku are still there. There will be someone else to fill their shoes immediately and happily as is evidenced by the posters here who support drug use and sales as it is an
invaluable drug/herb/whatever to them. Next, it will be coke, heroin, X, or meth that should be legalized because they are also beneficial for society.

It's a funny country.

Who said we support drug use. We just think it should be none of the governments business what an adult chooses to consume. It's not that marijuana or any other drug is beneficial to society. It's that fact that prohibition makes things a hell of a lot worse then the drugs themselves.

...and the questionable terms behind the prohibition in the first place just adds to the lack of credibility our gov't has regarding this issue.

oh here we go again more wasted money on the harmless marijuana just in case anyone missed pcn monday night the people in charge of the corrections are complaining of these kinds of busts filling up the jails and now considering in the next month looking into other states to house prisoners here in pennsylvania, there are so much more worse things that should be concentrated on and yet its always the petty stuff that continues to attract law inforcements eye. Marijuana: yes Ecstasy: No any other hard chemical: no. Marijuana busts: waste of time and money. Thank you.

this is a tragic about these young brothers.U know whats so crazy i know and love these men.Weed not a big thing but to the white peolpe if it means getting more black brothers in jail so be it.These big time white people all different kinds of white and foreigners that transport hundreds of millions of money and drugs like coc, heroin, crack and other deadly drugs a week dont get fucked with because somebody is always looking out for the white people.Yes whites get away with everything in any aspect in life. Its crazy my people built this world the whites took it over and dont even want to share. The color of ur skin tells the greatest story u will ever imagine. You better believe if these were some white boys u would see a lil article and thats it.If selling weed is a crime and u can go to jail why arent every liquor store around the world suppliers arent in jail and dont forget about the people who drink it.We as a people i mean blacks would never get to understand why we are treated this way.Its bigger than weed its the earth. So many doctors perscribe this to patients to ease the pain.To my alexanders brothers i will pray for u and i love u.This hit home base for me these are my brothers.
