Rumors in La Vernia concern H-E-B

Wilson County News February 13, 2009 LA VERNIA - Rumors began circulating last week that H-E-B was planning a new store in La Vernia.

Think how many jobs it will bring to the citizens
of LV.... you people who are opposing...you'll be

I can't wait to see HEB come to our small town! This is exactly what is needed to round out this wonderful community.

The people of LaVernia live here because it is quiet and peaceful. We do not want an HEB because it will put our small family businesses out of business. The few jobs it will create will cause more people to become unemployeed. This is just one reason. It will also cause more conjestion in an already dangerous intersection.
NO HEB!!! STAY AWAY!
Doesn't HEB make enough money already?They are on almost every corner in San Antonio. They are vultures who do not care who they destroy as long as they make money.

I am tired of driving so far to a gro store.
The Ma and Pa stores are just to high on what they are selling.Guess they want to make lots of money with the high prices.Hurry up and get here HEB WE NEED YOU REALLY BAD!!!!

I am sooooo very excited that HEB is coming!!!
Praise be to the City Council in working out this great venture. The HEB in Floresville is so terrible, I refuse to shop there ~~~ so the only other options are City Base and Kittyhawk ,,, can you say ~~~> be sure and get tank a of gas for that road trip! And an overnight bag for how long you will stand in line & bump buggies with a couple of thousand of people <~~~
When gas was $4.00 +,,, it was hard to justify living out here,.,, now I feel like I'm in the 20th century instead of living on Little House on the Prairie.
