R.I.P. I feel sorry for his family and for the young lady who was driving the vehicle that struck him. Sad situation for all concerned. It doesn't sound like a crime occurred. It sounds like a tragic accident. Poor guy. he could have fallen down. He could have been intoxicated or ill. My condolences to the family.

I feel for the family and wish you the best. Don't come on here there's only morons (not all.) that make stupid comments. Write the eagle and inform them on their lack of class. I think I may.

It is not the girls fault she should sue the family for causing her pain and damages. No doubt she will need consoling for what happen to her. It was the guy's fault and the family for not picking him up and also the bar that served him all that booze. He must have been very drunk if he was crawling in the road..
You have no ideal what happened or any of the facts all you know is what you read in the EAGLE and maybe you should read it again!!! also all the facts aren't there did you read that ?? So you should GET A LIFE !!

<quoted text>Well he had to get the booze from somewhere home or a barroom. He did cause a accident didn't he. It was not the girls faults she was driving on the road where she was suppose to be and she did suffer injuries to herself mentally. If only someone kept that man home or not serve him the drinks of alcohol the accident might have never happen. The girl should find a good lawyer and sue. He must have been very drunk if he was crawling on the road and it could have been worse he could have cause someone else to get killed. Normal people do not crawl across the road!!!Yes it is sad the man died but it was of his own doing!!!
You should learn how to read !! I never said it was her fault I also feel sorry for her, You should go back and read some of my post !! Maybe even read the Eagle Report on it AGAIN ! It's still being Investigated . You make me sick !! You don't have a clue on this at all . I would say more ,but you aren't worth my time.

Good then keep your mouth shut. I know what I know what it said. You are not worth my time either lady all I aid the girl should sue the man's family for him being drunk and causing a terrible accident. He was the one that chose to drink for what ever reason and he must have been a drinker to from way back. I doubt this was the first time that man would have come home drunk. What would have happened if he was driving drunk he couldn't even walk. People like him make are roads unsafe and put many people lives in danger. Yes I sure he was a good man but being good didn't get him trouble did it? It was the drinking that caused him harm. I hate people that have to drink and put everyone in danger. I lost a cousin to a drunk driver and that driver that kill my cousin had so many excuses for drinking it made me sick. If your going to drink stay at home where it is safe and you are not on the roads or sidewalks. I DON'T THINK YOU UNDERSTAND the danger he put many people in that day! Plus he might have even drove to drink good thing he had enough of sense to walk home!!

Thank You for taking the time to post. Please remember that it is a very few people who are cowardly and ignorant beyond belief that would post such terrible comments on here. The rest of us wish nothing but peace and comfort for Danna and your family (as well as the young lady driving). We too loved Ray and understand the devastation the family is going through. Ray will be remebered for his caring and compassion. For his wonderful cooking and volunteering. For his connection to nature. We continue to grieve our loss of a good man.
Yes we pray for peace and comfort for the family. We will stand proudly at your side.
BLESS RAYs FAMILY

Put her in jail before she kills someone else. Will you be as bleeding heart about her next victim or will you still say she's the one who deserves symathy? You will probably blame the victim and rally to her defense again. How sad.
What did she do wrong. She was not drinking or driving to fast she was doing what she was suppose to be doing driving on the road. How sad it is for you to have a bug up your as-s about her and try to blame her. Maybe a old boyfriend or friend you must have been. Please tell me what she did wrong. We know what the man was doing drinking and crawling but what did she do?

P.H.I.J.,
Did you even read the post to which you responded?

Did you even read the article?

Go back to bed, and get up on the right side of Palm Sunday.

There is no blame here. This blog is to support those involved.

Peace be with you

Fact Finder needs to find some facts, so far unable to find FACTs.

Fact Finder also got up on wrong side of Palm Sunday.

Instead of inflicting Pain, why not practice Compassion?

Your choice, but someday you will meet your maker, you may present your "facts" then.

Dear Erika and family of Ray's,

There are plenty of us out here that don't know you or your family but be assured that we are thinking of you with compassion. This Eagle board is nothing but trash-talking-vile, vile people hidden behind a keyboard. Those of us that have a iota of sense are aware that all the facts will never be released in the Eagle. I wish your family and the young lady involved, peace at best as you grieve for this man who was loved and it's obvious; he was loved. I wish I could remove all of the negative, ignorant comments here. Maybe the Eagle (poor representive of such a beautiful creature) would be kind enough to remove them, as they should. Godspeed to Ray and God Bless your family, but really even more so to the evil people writing here, I believe they need some help of some sort writing about people they know nothing of. May Ray RIP.

Kat, I think I know who we have lost. I never met this person but I posted with him frequently and have sorely missed his comments. It was just today I learned what happened. I am heartsick.
Please convey my condolences to "the lovely one" and her family.
