At 87, William Moesley has taken many trips in his lifetime. A World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Infantry from 1943 to '46, he'd seen several months in South Carolina as a basic training sergeant, 18 months in France in direct combat as a platoon sergeant, then six months in Germany for postwar duty as a POW camp supervisor.
