I guess there have not been enough traffic deaths to do something to reduce automobile speed to the posted mph on Elton Hills Dr. One year ago a drug driver drove through my front yard, last week I witnessed a hit and run accident at approximately 40 mph (30 mph speed zone). I wonder what the consequences would be to me if I regularly drove 40 mph through their neighborhood? OMG there would be public meetings...the cops would be on high alert...regular arrests would be made to preserve the quiet enjoyment of their suburban neighborhood....The argument - We bought here knowing it was a busy road - our problem right? Okay I get thats how you justify breaking the law and endangering kids lives as they play in their front yard..Sorry, what? I'm a bad parent? WTF I pay the same taxes as you do but I'm a bad parent for simply wanting to enjoy my front yard as you do? My 1/4 acre lot is no different then your 1/4 acre lot, there was no notice from the county of an exception to my rights as a property owner to enjoy my suburban lot! I know for a fact if on a daily basis I drove down any side street adjacent to Elton Hlls at 40 -45 mph I would be ticketed by the Rochester PD! Period end of story....but y'all think it's ok to speed by my house EVERYDAY.....everyday, day in and day out! I call bullshit! And I hold the city responsible for not trying to manage the traffic to maintain safety and quiet enjoyment of my neighborhood! Get ready - DMC is going to completely screw us! The least the city can do is buy us out because they have already proven the can no longer manage the roadway in a safe manner..God Bless the RPD! I know you would help if you could but traffic violations are not a priority......Is this addressed in DMC?

Our wonderful city made Elton hills into a 4 lane raceway and slapped a low speed limit on it.
Start writing down license plates and turning people in. Get your neighbors toghether, speak with your city council memebr (if they have time) call the city, get some of those speed enforcement machines. Everytime I see RPD writing a ticket on Broadway, everyone slows way down.
