8 year conviction? Not exactly true. 8 years probation with 120 days shock time. The only two families broken were the 2 victims families. The Lindsey family is celebrating. In 4 months, she'll be out and back to her life. Think maybe she can stay out of trouble for the next 8 years. Maybe, maybe not. Fact is she gets another chance. The victims don't.

What a joke. 4 months time to serve for an 8 year sentence?! The Holdsworths and the Whites got the life sentence. Holdsworths for the loss of a life/future with their son due to illegal acts and extremely poor decisions made by michaela lindsey, then the White's because their son will never be the same due to his severe brain damage. Think about it, drinking or not, had she STOPPED at the stop sign, none of this would have happened. How simple can it get? It wasn't like she didn't know the area where she was driving! On the not-so-simple side of this, she was 18 and drunk behind the wheel. Hmmm...there's a lot that's not right about that issue being hidden from the spotlight. The law considered HER and protected HER and provided for HER until the final sentencing in court. Where was the voice of representation for the victims and their families? The "prosecuting attorney" didn't even know the facts written in formal documents provided to him and therefore had NOTHING to say in defense when facts or comments were presented incorrectly by Kranitz to the judge. What faith I had in the legal system is now absolutely gone after following this case. God have mercy on all of us, and keep us out of any courtroom when we're in need of help finding justice and appropriate consequences for those who seriously wrong us.

mechaela lindsey had a plan,,she was gonna get drunk as hell and get in her vehicle and kill people, that was her plan all along, she known she was a natural born killer and needed to carry on a family tradition.mechaela shows no remorce, she is a true evil spirit who lurks among us getting drunk and tracking down her prey.for gosh sakes people she was young and dumb, she never intended on going out on a killing spree.there are so many teenage kids who drink and drive and they either grow out of it or learn from their mistakes, alot of times learning from their mistakes is hitting a ditch and totaling out their car, well in this instance someone was killed and may god be with the victoms, should michaela be sentenced to life for committing the same act of stupidity as the ones totaling out their vehicles into a tree or ditch, neither one ever wanted to kill anyone and neither one was truly old enough to know better?i think her sentence is just perfect. After the accident at NN i was driving sober and could have killed someone when i blew through the stop sighn.the stop sighn was put in place right after the accident turning part of NN into a 4 way stop,i did not know it was there,i'm sure family members had requested it,i guess the people on NN have a better chance now of avoiding all the drunk drivers trying to blow the stop sigh on VV,thanks alot family members for thinking of my safety,i really enjoy stopping on a main highway now,you should request they put a 4 way at y hwy and NN there is 20 times more drunk drivers blowing through off of Y.no offense to the family,i feel your loss but stop sighns wont bring them back and sending a young girl to prison for life wont bring them back either.i believe in eye for an eye for true killers and abducters and rapist,,this girl has a heart and feelings and never in a million years would she have ever wanted to hurt anyone, just young and making stupid decisions!!

Apparently around these parts being drunk is an acceptable excuse for killing someone.. Whether it be in a vehicle or otherwise.. My heart goes out to the Holdsworths and the Whites... Maybe if there were stiffer punishments we wouldn't have to mourn our young loved ones.. Maybe our prosecutors should pay attention.. Or maybe we should start voting a little differently...

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Gemini

You'll need every ounce of patience today because even the best-laid plans could go up in smoke under the Full Moon lunar eclipse. It seems that certain people are doing their best to throw spanners in the works, and the more annoyed you become the more they'll goad you still further. If there's dissent in the ranks about how to spend New Year's Eve, you may decide to go your own sweet way and prove that you're an individual in your own right. But try not to let any bad feelings mar the celebrations. Have a fantastic night!
