18 month investigation ehh ? I'm sure it was time well spent by the Keepers of the Kings forest--otherwise known as the PGC.
If one cares to research you would be shocked at the power(s) given to the PGC , I dare say it can even exceed the PSP's powers in certain instances.
Yup, the "law" says waste everything possible, assumption of the worst shall become fact, and you are guilty until proven innocent. I'm sure i'm not the onlt person who could think of 100 different things they could be doing besides this.

The FDA or Ag department can't keep citizens safe from e. coli in spinach or salmonella from anything but man, let some poor little guy do something and the toadies are all over that.
Guess he wasn't paying off the right lobbyists.

Poor butchers are left year after year with leftover meat that they processed and never got paid for or picked up. Instead of throwing it away they try and get paid for their labor and this is what happens.

They treat this American worse than the chinaman who got caught with a snapping turtle in his restaurant last summer.

Freddie Mac and his fat girlfriend Fannie Mae were in town Visiting the Lehman Bros when all of a sudden they fell down the steps at the Aig office near the Wachovia Bank causing massive bruising to WaMu the son of Freddies cousin Google. The resulting pile of fat caused a tremor of 2.0 on the Richter scale. Meanwhile back at the ranch,The Soloman Bros were cooking up some pork fat for Sen Obamas gang for the big showdown and rodeo In November.

Drove past the Holrick farm today, and thought about how beautiful the land is, and how happy I am that someone is running a small successful family business. Then I heard about this nonsense!!! Bureaucratic leeches living on my tax dollars have spent eighteen months on this. We are ceding our country to self-centered "activists" who want to live in a national park, and guess what..they don't want anyone else living there with them.( A digression, I know, but this attitude is a big source of the problem here.)

Laws are made and enforced by non-elected officials more and more in this state and country. The public has no recourse when such laws have no real benefit. In the extreme, I would remind the readers that being Jewish was actually made against the law in Nazi Germany. And speaking out against that was too. Whether you agree or disagree with the obvious situation of this story, you should really begin to question the actual law, how it is being enforced, who wins and who loses. I guarantee the local community will be losing. Holrick Farm is a local business and a real supporter of 4-H. As a contrast, think about how much a food store like Walmart supports your local community. Does it? The enforcement agency in question is not working for Walmart, but the real benefit will be to Walmart. In these times of financial meltdown, you may wish for more local owned enterprises to patronize, so as to keep the money in your community. Good luck with that.

The PGC's main purpose, I thought, was to serve the pennsylvania sportsmen. Through field study's, harvest reports, and open dialogue with the Pennsylvania sportsmen they should be managing our gamelands, whitetail herd, grouse populations etc. Are they doing this? As with all governments whether it be local or federal the phrase "for the people and by the people" seems to written somewhere, I recall. Yes, the PGC is its own little government. This is not the case anywhere in our society, until people pull their heads out of there you know what, and stop following each other like a bunch sheep, this type of harrasement will continue. PGC, get back on track and do your job. The Holrick Farm butcher should be commended for it's support of the Pennsylvania sportsmen, not harrassed like criminals.

Got on the internet to look up your number and read all this "bs". This will not discourage me from doing business with Holrick. In fact they probably gave you alot of free advertisement. I personally have sent two other people your way. You would of thought they had bigger fish to fry.

To ghostrider69. If people wouldn't drop a deer off, have the butcher spend his time and MONEY paying employees, then the dumbasses don't bother picking up or pay for it. He should be able to collect his money somehow. Cuase the stupid system wants you to pay out the ass to try and collect your money from worthless idiots so be it.

The name's Bobby-Zeek
I drive a dark green jeep
been hunt'n here 25 years
The land has changed hands
but I don't give a dam
gotta kill me a coupl'a deers

don't give a hoot
who I might shoot
I'm poacher junky scum
Do my hunt'n at night
with a bright spotlight
I'm poacher junky scum

When the sun it is a sett'n
my rifle I'm a gett'n
but not before a drink at the bar
my father taught me poach'n
oh, the laws that I'm encroach'n
when I shoot at deer from the car

don't give a hoot
who I might shoot
I'm poacher junky scum
soon the day will come
when I teach my own son
to be poacher junky scum

When one's in my sights
the bright moonlight
shines off my thick red neck
I hope to hit my mark
but out here in the dark
git ready to hit the deck

don't give a hoot
who I might shoot
I'm poacher junky scum
kill'ns a game
I feel no shame
I'm poacher junky scum
