Go see Lisa!

I have lived in Annapolis for two years and have not been to the same stylist twice because I have not been satisfied with anyone's work. I was driving and hear an ad on the radio for Fringe Salon and I called and made an appointment.

I got lucky and was scheduled to have Lisa do my hair.

She took a long time talking to me about what I wanted and what I didn't want. Lisa showed me a lot of pictures and pointed out to me what she understood I wanted from what I had told her. There was no guessing or assuming. She really listened and truly understood exactly what I wanted.

Lisa cut, colored and highlighted my hair. It looked GREAT! It was perfect.

I have been back to see her and will continue to do so.

The prices are great too! Cut, Full Color and Highlights =$149

Everyone that i know that has gone to GLOW for a hair cut has come out jacked. As far as Stylists are concerned you are not gonna get any better then Neil at David Alexanders. The salon is nice but its about the Stylist too and Neil will never disappoint you. He's not just talented but he is a great person. Two for Two. Can't go wrong!
oh yeah and he's not over priced.

GLOW has received the BEST OF ANNAPOLIS (AGAIN!), and has been rated one of the best salons on the East Coast. Yea must be pretty awful.

I am new to the area, and after researching various salons I decided to go with the less pricier salon Fringe. I couldn't have made a better decision! I get my hair foiled blonde, and I am VERY picky about the exact shade of blonde I like (not too brassy, not too white), and I am fanatical about preventing breakage, as some stylists are horrible about being extra careful with blondes. I did not have to worry about a thing with Lisa at Fringe. My hair came out perfect, and that's saying a lot for me. I have lived in many cities across the U.S., and I can honestly say that this is one of the best hair experiences I have had, not to mention that the cost was far less than the majority of salons I have been to ($100.00 for a partial foil, hair cut, and style). I will keep going back to Lisa at Fringe for as long as I live in Annapolis

Actually, it is a well-known fact that only those that advertise in the publication that vote on Best of annapolis receive awards...all of those awards are bought, they are absolutely not based on quality. I have two personal cases of businesses winning titles from these magazines during a year when they bought ads...only to be ignored the following term when, oh what a coincidence, they decided not to advertise that year. Don't be a sheep and follow what the crowds are doing, do some research and find your own perfect spots!

I too followed Lisa from her old place to FRINGE. It is easy to get to, parking is not an issue and the place is clean and new. Lisa is awesome. Not only do I like the way she cuts my hair, but she is a nice person to spend a 1/2 hour with. She knows what I like and I can trust that she will do what makes me look best.

I too followed Lisa from her previous place , when she bought Fringe. Fringe is approx 40 min from my house, but well worth the drive.
The shop is completely remodeled and beautiful.
Lisa is a great stylist as well as a very sweet person. I have been going to Lisa for over 7 years and am always happy with my cut and color.
The prices are great also !!!!!

I think if you explain what you want, and the stylist listens, you pay attention to what's being done, there should be no problem. average cut in Ill. is around 20.-25. foils start at 65.-75 colors roots40. full color 55 and up depending on length your $?

I am new to the area, having moved from Florida in October. By December, I was actively reviewing Salons looking for one that was highly rated, but also reasonable.

I decided two years ago to stop coloring my hair and go gray naturally. I had it cut very short; Jamie Fisher short. It did not take me long to get tired of the charcoal brown, it really does age you. So, I had foils put it my hair which I thought looked too blonde on the gray. It was close to what I wanted, but not just what I wanted.

After reading many reviews I went to Fringe for a consult and met Katie. She spent time with me to determine exactly what I wanted and seemed to know just what she would do so I made an appointment to come back the next day.

Katie did a beautiful job on my hair. I have been letting it grow out to the shoulder length I want and she trimmed it up in perfect layers to control the wave and then foiled heavily a platinum. It looks terrific. I love the light all over look and the cut shows it off. All of this for under $150!

I'll be back in two months for a trim and now I like the absence of that gray charcoal so much I am thinking about going all over color with a darker blonde. I'll ask Katie about it.

I highly recommend Fringe. They are truly professionals there and don't indulge in highway, high nosed, robbery. You know that snobbery attitude you feel in many salons; you won't find it here, only serious excellence.

I've been seeing Jerika for years and recently followed her to Fringe after she move salon locations. She is very loyal so you don't have to worry about her leaving, we all know how stressful searching for a new stylist can be. She's only moved once in the 6 years I've been going to her and that was due to poor business management, not her fault! Not only is she amazing with my haircuts and color, but she does the whole family! She's great with my husband's hair and my two kids as well. I highly suggest calling for Jerika, you won't be disappointed!

haha you do realize that doesn't mean anything? They only vote between companies that pay for ads in the magazine. Glow probably just pays the most out of the other salons. I too have heard multiple complaints from people who went to Glow
