Mill owner ordered to extinguish fire

The fire at the former Steveson Co-Ply mill near Stevenson continues to smolder Wednesday as an air quality agency called it a public nuisance and ordered the owner to begin active efforts to extinguish it. via The Columbian

This is another case where the SWCAA is one line beyond common and natural sense while establishing their reign of authority. This continued controlled burn is better economically and probably more ecologically sound. While the mission is honorable, the SWCAA is bureaucracy gone awry.
