Bridgeport woman arrested for hitting Jackson County deputy while being booked into jail

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department charged a Bridgeport woman with second-degree assault Thursday for hitting a deputy while the woman was being booked into the jail, a Sheriff's Department news release said.
