I am certain that those people that would want to run against Rickey would hope that he would not run for mayor again. Then those lazy people would not have to work so hard to try to beat him. Furthermore, nothing wrong with his health. The citizens of Stevenson will decide how long is too long.If you other people don't appreciate the good that he has done in our town, why don't you move elsewhere, where the real stuff is covered up. And sit back on your thumbs and watch the good happen there.

Good in Stevenson???? Yeah look at the jobs he has brought in.... wow.... I am still sitting here looking and I see the only thing that has changed is the job situation..... no where to work in this town.

No place to work is not the Mayor's fault blame that on the people in Washington and the Economy. You don't realize what he did to try to keep Shaw here and he kept them a Year longer than they wanted to stay. He also had TVA to come to the school and talk to people and a lot of people said they didn't want a job until their unemployement ran out. Believe it or not but some people are still drawing money.

Back years ago a lot of people traveled to where the jobs were plenty like up north with Ford Company. So 'HUH', you should try up there, I am certain they are hiring, or did I hear they had a big layoff a couple of years back, but maybe Volkswagon in Chatt is hiring. Maybe u could luck up and get a job there. There is not a town or city in this country that has not been hit by layoffs, shutdowns. I am sure there is a job for you at McDonalds, if you would quit "sitting looking".(quote)

I think Mr.Steele has done a pretty fair job as Mayor of Stevenson. I do however feel that he has been in office long enough but that is not just for me to decide. I am not making any type of implication toward Mr.Stelle in any way what so ever but it is known that the longer an official is in office the more "Good Ole Boy" they become and also there is more opportunity for "under the table" action taking place. Mostly, I think Mr.Steel has done as well with Stevenson as anyone could have done. I was born and raised here, this is a great little town and I only hope it continues to stay that way regardless of who is in the Mayor's seat here in Stevenson. Some of the nicest people I have ever meet live right here in Stevenson and some of the most honest as well.

May God bless you all and May God bless this little town... Stevenson, Alabama.

P.S. And no, I am not running for office and I am not a politician.
