States forecast highest tax revenue in 5 years

There are 6 comments on the www.usatoday.com story from Jun 12, 2012, titled States forecast highest tax revenue in 5 years. In it, www.usatoday.com reports that:

States expect to collect higher tax revenue in the coming budget year that combined would top pre-recession levels, according to a survey released Tuesday.

The increase could reduce pressure on states to cut budgets and lay off workers. A slowly healing job market and modest economic growth have boosted sales and income taxes, which provide nearly three-quarters of state revenue. Corporate income taxes are also growing.

Naturally, since contrary to reTHUGlican lies, the recession caused these state budget deficits, for the most part. Certainly true here in Ohio, where douchebag Wall St. Johnny Kasux claimed that Gov. Strickland's policies and management led to a $7-billion deficit when in fact it was the recession.
NEVER believe reTHUGlicans, especially if it has anything at all to do with money.

Citizens should be on guard, however, to prevent these irresponsible reTHUGlicans from cutting taxes as revenue increases, which would of course cause further deficits which they would then try to blame on Dems. The GOP is evil and dishonest, and MUST be watched constantly and prevented from doing harm.

Fair Warning!

"Total state tax revenue is forecast to rise 4.1% to $690.3 billion in the 2013 budget year, according to a twice-yearly survey by the National Governors Association and the National Association of State Budget Officers."

Hmmm... Obama's been pushing for a $447 billion "jobs" plan to go to state governments.

Looks like that's unnecessary now, huh?

Given the unemployment rate, why would it be "unncessary?" Are you claiming that because tax revenue is rising and state deficits are shrinking, people just automatically all get jobs?

Let's hope you're not that pathetic.
