Area towns, parishes receive water grants

Richland, Morehouse, West Carroll, Jackson, Ouachita, Evangeline , and LaSalle parishes have received federal grants for public infrastructure improvements from the Delta Regional Authority, U.S. Sen.

If jackson Parish received a water grant why did the dumb azz mayor get a loan for 2.5 million dollars that has to be paid back in 1 year.????????? check KNOE NEWS

2.5 million is nothing....They have repeatedly admitted in town meetings that the entire infrastructure is shot out. It would probably take $20 million just to fix the water system. It's a joke. But, the council approved those stupid electronic meters a couple of years ago that don't even work instead of spending money on fixing the pipes. Makes a lot of sense, huh? What we really need is to get rid of them all and vote for new people who will actually work for the people.
