The sad part is the heartache and pain that both families have had to endure. I'm sure that the BMW community understands and accepts the gravity of the situation and the outcome but to attack an entire community isn't fair. I'm a BMW enthusiast that acts responsible and applaud the people who organizes the events that are available to us to enjoy our vehicles in a controlled environment. The message has surely hit home here in the south and hopefully Mrs. McCaffrey's death will at least make all of us more aware of our actions while driving.
I don't understand that if there's no doubt that these guys were racing why haven't any of them been charged it?
Mrs. McCaffrey is gone and there is nothing that any of us can do to bring her back. Was it a senseless death? Yes, but the guy who hit and killed was given his sentence and is serving time.
Oh and BTW some of the comments I've heard about the victim texting is disrespectful and has nothing to do with being stuck by a speeding vehicle.
You paid too much for a stupid car. I could easily afford a BMW or more, but I choose to buy responsibly and give the rest to charity. Is your weiner really so small that you need a BMW to compensate? Welcome to New England...

there are some whack jobs out there...she might have walked in front of four or five cars, screaming down the road?...She might have been texting? Yeah, but none of those things are reasonable, so therefore there is no reasonable doubt...the lawyers were really dumb and obviously didn't know how to try a case or when to negotiate a settlement. A doubt is reasonable when it has a basis in fact...she might have thought the cars were her pet dog and jumped in front of them, but is it reasonable to think so? I think some of these people are just trying to aggravate the family and are using the power of anonymity on this forum....real nice people....a gang of cars attacks a quiet residential neighborhood, kills a woman and then says prove it...and that is what the District Attorney did...they proved it and put his sorry butt into prison, for not near enough time to even compensate the family one millionth for their beautiful sister and mother and daughter....they don't make em like her anymore, and we cannot afford the loss of even one of her kind...the bums won and the good girl is dead and there is nothing any of us can do but voice our frustration and pray that it will never happen again...but it will...and good guys finish last, while the selfish, gimme guys and girls put us all in jeopardy....lord bless her and her people.....

too bad her body did not drag a while under the car, she should have known better than to walk her dog on a dangerous road. She is just as responsible.

BMWs are corny. If you have money and you buy a BMW you look like you are trying to tell people "I have money".

I thought this sick stupid insensitive crap from the so called BMW supporters had ended. Talk about a bunch of retarrrds. You gotta be real sick in the head to talk about a nice person like that killed by some racing punk in a hot car trying to prove he can race dangerously on a narrow unsafe country road, and he can't even admit to his own guilt that he killed someone, just looking for a way out. POS !!!!

He's just a typical White trash, Masshole whose parents "F"ed up with him. He'll never amount to nothing but being a janitor or dropping fries at McD's... He'll never contribute to society, so he should have been taken at the same time because this kid will be a drain on society forever!!!!11
