I have read the pro-abortion views here and I am slightly sick to my stomach. I know there are teens who have no sense of responsibility so does that mean that as supposedly adults we have to agree or go along with them? Just a word about the slurs aimed at Fr. Bruso and Rosemary. Isn't that typical of the left to rain on anybody's parade because they do not agree with what the lefty says.If it was not for the stimulus money (or should I say) tax payer money) this whole thing would not be happening. I think I am spinning my wheels by even writing about this but the last time I looked, I was living in America where freedom of speech is available to all citizens. How about the unborn baby who has no voice? Should not someone speak for them as they are being torn apart inside of the mother's womb? Open your eyes and see what has happened to 50million babies since 1973. Out of sight out of mind. A whole generation has been murdered. Go ahead think about it. The facts arew there if anyone cares enough to really find out about it.

Apparently, the PP facility that is proposed DOESN'T even do abortions to begin with. Did you even bother to check? The non-abortion PP centers generally dispense contraceptives, give out honest information about sex and pregnancy, and do other health-related services. Do you oppose the use of contraceptives to PREVENT unwanted pregnancy for girls and women? Or their being able to obtain reliable medical information for teenage girls that might help them decide to AVOID sexual activity entirely until they have at least graduated high school and are of legal age to purchase their own contraceptives without parental permission?

Until more teens are able to get either reliable information to give them the FACTS about what sexual activity can and does lead to from facilities like Planned Parenthood, teenage pregnancy will continue. Is that what you REALLY want, for more teenagers to GET pregnant before they've even graduated high school? I sincerely hope not.

Freedom of speech is a mighty powerful expression as the comments attest. Truly two views: those who are trying to save innocent lives and those who are indifferent to the loss of innocent lives. Perhaps it escapes those sleeping in Fitchburg and elsewhere that the freedom they cherish so much results in their being blest with a birth and entrance into the United Sates of America. For the pro-choice feminists; without a birth there are no women’s rights and 25,000,000+ unborn women have been denied their most basic God given rights. For the pro-choice male chauvinists; 25,000,000+ unborn men have also been denied their most basic God given rights as well. There is no love for women in abortion and there is nothing civilized about any nation which exterminates its progeny in the womb. Pro-life folks share equally in this heinous human rights violation because nothing legally has changed since 1973 to restore protection to the most defenseless among us. We are all guilty and the evolution toward total loss of freedom for all citizens has been steadily gaining prominence. Any government which denies life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to any “inconvenient” unborn human life is fully capable of denying it to born human life it also deems “inconvenient.” Have legislators been working for all our benefit lately in secret? Still can’t see the obvious conclusion of that fatal decision in 1973? That self-inflicted wound was fatal, not just for our unborn but for us as well! The criminal champions of this campaign against life and liberty want you to keep sleeping. Sleep well.

There is no such thing as an unborn woman, or an unborn man. Men and women are ADULTS. Any adult still in utero DESERVES to be forcibly removed, it's time they move out on their own.

Perhaps it has escaped your notice, but most women choose to continue their pregnancies, even most PC women, and that anti-choice fetus worshippers ALSO abort.

When I dropped out of college and lived in Boston, PP may have saved my life. Coming from out of state, I had little money and no doctor. I went to them for check ups and it was discovered that I had a precancerous condition of the uterus. They helped me find a gynecologist who treated me over the following years. I will always be thankful to them for their professional advice and the encouragement to make my own reproductive health decisions. Because of PP's early intervention I was able to have two children and a healthy life.
Understand, people, they are about so much more than what the right to lifer's claim, and the organization deserves the Town Council's support for the health of our young women.

As protesters we were exercising our right to call abortion what it is, just as you are exercising your right to speak on this forum. And most of us who were there will protest a proposed new strip joint or adult bookstore or casino if it comes up too. Just because abortion, stripping, pornography, gambling, and alcoholism are legal doesn't mean they are good and without harm to the community. Families are broken everyday by someone getting involved in these habit-forming behaviors, and children and spouses suffer for it. Of course people have their choice, and by protesting we aren't forcing anyone out of their choice. Every person who chooses to to have sexual intercourse with someone knows that it can lead to conception, even sometimes when contraceptives are used. Simply throwing away the new life that is conceived from that act, like a distasteful byproduct, is downright wrong, whether it is allowed by law or not. Are we robots that we only base our actions on what a legislature decides is acceptable? I don't think so. Planned Parenthood promotes this kind of selfish behavior, and it does not "help" anyone; it only reinforces the irresponsible and callous attitude that one can take his or her pleasure without regard to the rights of anyone else. We say "pro-choice." But that's a mask for what it really is: "pro my choice, con yours." When a woman aborts her child, what choice does that child have? What choice does the father of the child have? Whose rights are being violated here? And when a man rapes a woman, is that "pro choice" because he exercised his choice against another's will simply because he had the brute power to do so? The more we as a society adopt this kind of Me-Only attitude the faster things will degenerate in our communities. Rape, prostitution, stealing, etc. all are based on the same essential thought pattern: it's fun for me so I'll do it no matter who else it hurts. Planned Parenthood promotes this attitude. This is not to say that they may not provide some other useful services, but if you let them in, you get the whole package. It's like a terrorist network that is trying to kill you: you don't turn a blind eye to them establishing a training camp in your back yard just because they aren't actually killing anyone there. And just because some of the things they are teaching may have good elements doesn't mean you swallow the whole thing. That's the worst part of it: PP knows that by doing some good things they will confuse people into turning a blind eye to what they are really after, which is money from killing our fetuses. They're just like alcohol vendors who know that if you try them once, you'll likely come back and they'll have a steady income. And if they can use our taxpayer funds to help them along the way, all the better for them. We are the suckers and the losers if we don't see that. They are not our friends.

You are all such hypocrites. Where is the outrage when "the Other Side" announces that they are installing beer taps for draft beer to promote college night? Where is the picketing of something that will undoubtedly lead to underage drinking, fights in the parking lot and all the other attendant crime? You only pretend to care about Fitchburg. For that matter, you only pretend to care about the living. All you really care about is your own religious/political agenda. Save your false sermons.

I agree with all of you who supports PP. Thank you PP for coming to Fitchburg! In my opinion, one pregnant teen is one too many. Teaching abstinence is great but it's not reality... WAKE UP!!! Why is that most of the people are opposing PP are older women and men??? Do those people live in a dream world or they are just ignorant of today's problems?
Comprehension much

You are the 100th moron that didn't even pay attention to the fact that they're not doing abortions there!

Less gum-flapping, more reading. It's amazing what you too can learn!
