A female bartender at Christopher's Pub ran out after him when he left and fell on the sidewalk, cutting his face, according to court records.

She pleaded with CampoBasso not to drive and tried to take his keys, according to court records. CampoBasso got in the car despite her attempts and another patron at the bar called police, according to court records.

UMMM why didnt she shut him off?? I also wonder if he will be representing himself hehe

It's time for Mr. CampoBasso to face his demons and get the help he obviously needs.

As a bartender myself you just try to shut off someone with clout, and the worst part is they are probably the better of the tippers too, hey thats how some of us make a living and make up for all of you people who don't tip. Another thought don't always think it is the bartender, honestly do you really know when a patron arrives if they are on medication that just one drink can escalate the effect of your state of mind along with your physcial functions. Bartenders in other words cannot be responsible for everyone's actions.
We all try our best to monitor situations or at least most of us do.

Jeez.... all of that after just four beers, LOL. I guess he's in little bit of trouble, hopefully he'll be able to find himself a good attorney.

Let's stop bashing a hard working man in trouble.

If he were a Kennedy, he could have just walked away from the scene, and remain a powerful leader of our country.

1st The Leominster Gumba crowd will cannonize him like they did his brother when he murdered somebody, instead of the outrage and support the victim's family.
2nd Vinny & Dennis Rosa will continue to pull the strings in Leominster behind the scenes with overwhelming support of the Leominster Gumba crowd, while everybody else is used and abused by them.
That's why a Campobasso was "released on personal recognizance bail." A non-Leominster Gumba would have had to cough up cash to get out of jail.

I couldn't agree more! How many of these people haven't got behind the wheel one time in their life after having too much to drink?
He obviously made a mistake. Thank GOD that nobody was hurt and that he was removed from the street as quickly as he was.
He's obviously going through some personal troubles, and the last thing he needs to deal with is a lynch mob mentality of never done wrong group of people blogging about it on the internet. Sheesh!

Yeah, save the lynch mob mentality for when poor people get arrested. Leave the lawyers alone. They are above average citizens and deserve better.

I have had dealings with Vinny over 20 years ago. He was/is an arrogant SOB then. Thought his s*** didn't stink, maybe this will bring him down a peg or two. Same punishment should apply to all no matter how much money you have.

I bet if this was a lawyer from Fitchburg and caught and Fitchburg all the people from Leominster would have a different attitude. Whenever something happens in Leominster it's always someone else's fault and should be overlooked. But when it's Fitchburg it's because the city is full of scum. Quite the double standard.

I am saddened to hear that a fellow member of the bar made an error in his personal life. He, like many of the thousands of DUI arrestees yearly in MA will go thru the system and hopefully address any alcohol related problems; and hopefully never endanger themselves or the public again. As expected, it has provided unwelcome fodder for lawyer bashing. Of course, there are no plumbers, teachers, actors, masons or professors who have been arrested??? Lets consider the guy is 60 and never been in trouble. Some screwed up at 18. MORe importantly... I am frankly embarrassed for those readers who have posted such ignorant and disparaging remarks clearly demonstrating their lack of education and juvenile mentality. These remarks are made by those who do not understand the bail statute, are clearly prejudiced and make rude and disparaging remarks about a community and a good portion of its residents. I would like to think that those who are keen enough to use a computer would understand that the "Soprano" lifestyle is only pretend, our community and cultures have meshed into a greater melting pot where I and others had hoped we left such anger, jealousy and simplistic bullyism behind.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Capricorn

If you're feeling lonely and vulnerable, it seems as though someone is out to get you. Perhaps you're separated from the people you love and you don't like it. Try not to mope for too long, because there are important things that need your attention. Speaking of which, if you need to do something that you're dreading, you'll feel much better if you can get it out of the way quickly. If you leave it, the very thought of it will drain your energy.
