Thank God she is going to be alright. And the driver can say his prayers that the grandfather did the right thing.

I try to drive with a high level of altertness, ready to brake and swerve in the event a child darts in front of my car. And although it's not really true (legally), it is good to carry this thought while driving: any time a car hits a child, it is ALWAYS the driver's fault and always wrong to blame the child. I also totally defer to pedestrians and bicyles. Adopting these thoughts and practices made me a better driver, and make driving more enjoyable for me.

Its wrong to blame the child? What? She ran out into traffic when her guardian told her not to.

I'd charge the idiot snob driver from Sterling, who probably was late for their yoga appt and driving daddy;s car...I hope this kid makes it and sues this driver..
